- Samali or Damascus sweet is the most delicious and I drink it simple sweet with 3 ingredients. To make it we will need:
Half a kilo of fine semolina
(Reserve one tablespoon)
200 g traditional yogurt
50 g of water
100 grams of sugar
Almonds for garnish
Half a teaspoon of baking soda.
For the syrup
500 grams of sugar
450 g water
A slice of lemon
Boil for 5 minutes
Mix sugar, semolina, soda, yogurt and water, and make a dough. Grease and sprinkle with sugar the bottom of the pan. Spread the dough  and cover well with a transparent film and leave it in the fridge all night. On the next day, carve long, uniform pieces, peel the almonds and put two almonds in each piece. Make the syrup and remove 50 grams. , To make the difference and bake at 190 degrees C° until we see a golden color on the top of the dessert. Pour the syrup and wait for it to absorb it all.

You can flavor the samali with two or three drops of mastic. which we break it with a little sugar. Samali means sweet of Damascus. Smyrna's samali does not have mastic
The recipe is for a 25 x 35 pan, for more product double all the ingredients of the recipe

Μία απορία , πώς ειναι ζεστο και το σιρόπι και το γλυκό εφόσον το σιρόπι το εχουμε φτιάξει πιό μπροστά και με λίγο από αυτό εχουμε αλοίψει την επιφάνεια ? Πόση ώρα περίπου κάνει να ψηθεί ?
Πολύ καλή παρατήρηση. Απλά θέλουμε το σιρόπι να είναι ζεστό για να μην κρυώσει το γλυκό αμέσως, δεν το θέλουμε καυτό, μπορούμε να το ζεστάνουμε στο μάτι1-2 λεπτά αλά της περισσότερες φορές δεν χρειάζεται μένει ζεστό μέχρι το τέλος ❤️
Τρία υλικά ; Θυμήθηκα ένα ανέκδοτο .Έβαλαν σε διαγώνισμα στο σχολείο, την ερώτηση: «Ποια είναι τα μυστήρια της Εκκλησίας ;» και ο Τοτός που ήξερε μόνο την Βάπτιση, έγραψε: «Τα επτά μυστήρια είναι πέντε. Τα εξής τρία. Η … βάπτιση».

Στην συνταγή γράφει ότι προαιρετικά μπορούμε να βάλουμε μαστίχα η συγκεκριμένη συνταγή δεν έχει❤️
Δεν είδα να βάζετε κανένα μυρωδικό .....βανίλια η μαστίχα ....μήπως θα έπρεπε;; Εγώ το παραδοσιακό σάμαλι ξέρω ότι μοσχοβολάει μαστίχα ...
Στην συνταγή έχω γράψει ότι προαιρετικά μπορείτε να βάλετε μαστίχα για το συγκεκριμένο γλυκό σάμαλι❤️
