I briefly worked at a Bubba Gump in college and we were required to answer the phone by saying, "we're having a shrimptastic day here at Bubba Gump." I quit after about 2 months.

For those unfamiliar with these restaurants, the reason they are so expensive is that they are almost always located in heavily trafficked tourist locations and therefore charge a premium. (e.g. Times Square, Niagara Falls, etc.)
Everything in grocery stores are double of what it used to be a couple years ago, everything is double the price.
"It's $16.49 - if money's real..." Baxter absolutely nailed that.
The ONE THING that shocked me the most about Bubba Gump Shrimp Co…..THEY DONT HAVE DR. PEPPER!!!!! The ONE drink that was a staple of the movie.

I live in Destin, Florida. Right on the beach. And we have a Bubba Gump right next to Margaritaville and the rivalry is real. The workers play pranks on each other, the patrons partake in the shenanigans as well. It’s fun but there are a couple diehards that are serious about it

I think what happened with the salmon is it was wrapped well and traveled too far- and kept ‘cooking’ . Happens with takeout.
