  • How do we handle the ‘gray’ areas of life? Through Jesus we have freedom, but this freedom should be tempered by responsibility and our love and consideration for one another.

I love this Church - Joel Osteen was my first pastor and my TV was my first Church. I love the fact that you're publishing these Bible classes as well, for our edification. One important thing, though, since Paul Osteen said the Bible isn't clear about abortion: it is true that the term is not found in the Bible, but God is clear in that life begins at conception: Psalm 139 "you [God] formed my inward parts. You wove me in my mother's womb"; Isaiah 49:1 "The LORD called me from the womb"; Luke 1:41 "when Elizabeth heard Mary's greeting, the baby [John the Baptist was the baby] leaped in her womb". And many more. The bottomline is, killing a baby at any point in his or her life is a sin against God. The Bible is clear on that, because it says we're created in the image of God and even the death penalty for murder was introduced early on in Exodus 21:12 "whoever strikes a man so that he dies shall be put to death". Here the death penalty is for punishment of murder. "you shall not kill" is one of the commandments. So the Bible speaks clearly against murder, and since God says He's formed us in our mothers' womb, abortion is clearly forbidden in the Bible. It's not a gray area. You're the kind of Church that builds people up - your messages always lift me up. You help me trust God like no other Church. But please trust God to the point that you can clearly state abortion is murder without fear. Take a stand, please. Trust God.

    Message to Paul
This isn't for me but for a understanding. I am around alot of nonbelievers and people with questions that is not ONLY by them but by association. I can only lead to the water, but I felt away with the earlier message about people in this world. No one is perfect but if you want to see people getting in to the church can not be so critical. Your family I have not seen and hoping I can use you as a guideline how unified, blessed and just amazing!!!! Once again not speaking of myself but some know how things are but don't help. Yes you can't help everyone but like this how Jesus feed everyone with the fish and others putting together what they have everyone was satisfied. Just because some enjoy things it's up to those blessed elders to let them know it's for a moment. God love is forever but what if ignorance and good examples are never given or seen? I hear so many songs lately with the same message because of spiteful deeds....... Just remember your church and teaching are far, unique and treasured. These..those... Is uncommon. I search hard to get my hunger satisfied. . Especially replenish some times daily. I respect and love pastor Joel Osteen messages because before was the ONLY!! time I heard something good, uplifting or inspiring in my life.

No offense, but they gathered manna from the first day, up until the preparation day, that is from Sunday to Friday, because Saturday was and is and always will be the Sabbath of the Lord.
Great study, and a very good teacher right there. I enjoyed this study. Thank you.
