When I was little (6 years old) me and my mom got pulled over for speeding. Back then I thought that a ticket meant u goin to jail. I burst into tears and the officer was so suspicious 😂

We're Canadians, that's why! If it's your first time getting arrested for something, and if it isn't that big of a deal, most of the time the officer will go easy on you!
Like, there was a new law that you had to get in the second line if there is a police car on the right side of the road. I didn't knew about that law back then, got stopped by an officer, got told what I did wrong, he checked my records, then let me go with only a warning!

I mean, to be fair, going too fast is more likely too kill someone than a mugging, and cause more trouble, such as blocking the road, having to call ambulance, blocking it more, ect. and the fact that this is in a school zone. I'd say it's fair that they focus more on it. Altho the 1 hour for them to arrive is still bullshit.

Most are those officers are just traffic officers, meaning they aren't higher up to be able to respond to a mugging call. Officers are limited and have to respond to many false reports

The thing is the speed limit was 25 mph. This might differ in different areas but usually the speed limit in residential areas such as neighborhoods are 25 mph. He practically went 50 mph in a residential area. It wasn’t really equivalent to a neighborhood according to the street view image but dayum, he got pretty lucky to walk out from that by getting a citation for going just 10 over.

80 mph is still pretty fast for outside a school zone, a schoolzone is usually 30kph and in the city it's usually 50-60kph
