- Vince Carter still jumps very high. Vince played at Big Tigger's charity game in DC this past weekend. He showcased his ability and did 2 windmills. He's 32 years old now and he can still get his head to the rim level. Look for Vince in the 2009 playoffs. He still has it. Videotape does not lie.

I know how you feel... I too am a Big Nets fan. However... I been a fan since 97. He was not getting a championship with the Nets. Not when he's 33 or 34. And I give him till that when he will breakdown. He gave excitement to the Nets but you have to look to the future. I was there when the Kidd era began and I loved that team with such a passion. This move puts them in a great position to be a team that can win for a long time. Yes they need a superstar but remember... And I am forwarding this.

He said he was expecting a high degree of athleticism, but once he actually saw Vince jump and dunk, he realized that (in his words): "hey, this is another kind of athlete that we have here".

wrong, weight does not matter when u drop a pen or a ball at the same time at the same height, they come down and hit the ground at the same time. The only thing that can make something seem like its falling slowly is air resistance.this could only be applied to feathers and such (light weight stuff).

I've talked with the photographer who took these videos. He told me that Vince had two 360 dunks and many other slams as well. He told me that Vince was killing it out there and that his elevation looked as good as his raptor days.
I'm trying to find out more info right now about that game and I will try my best to get some more highlights from the game.

His head still got close to rim level on the first windmill, even at age 32.
yea,i also feel like i should post my oppinion here.I am/was (i don`t really know right now) a very big Nets fan.The idea is that VC was the reason why i`ve became such a big Nets fan. So in a way i`m very sad because leaving the nets, but in another way i`m very happy because Vince really diserves a nba trophy after all he`s done in his NBA career.

he didn't struggle at all on the 2nd one. he did the 2nd one with ease. you can see him smiling and he just picks the ball up and windmills it.

He still does it during shootaround and other events, but as mentioned he's 32 years old and playing for Stan Van Gundy. Don't really expect him to do it during a game.
I talked to the guy who was actually there, and he said that Vince had 3 windmills, 2 360's, and loads of other slams, including a "sick" 1 handed alley from DJ Clue. He had 31 points at halftime almost all dunks and trick shots.
And Vince is actually smiling on this windmill. He did it with EASE. Watch in HD.
He makes it look so easy. At 32.

@MATT111MARTIN I actually time-measured his jump at that Magic Dunk-in thing they do before games and it was 38 inches at one jump (the one-hander toss from Howard). So yeah, he's 5 inches lower than his former 43 at the draft combine... probably highest was ~46 two years into the NBA though.

I was just talking with a friend of mine yesterday about Vince and how he's never had a strong time (as in a championship contender) except for 2000-2001.
And guess what... the Orlando trade.
If there are no injuries and Hedo stays, then the next season is going to be electrifying.

32 is still young. its a psychological effect for everyone that if you reach the digit '3' you're old. i mean look at kobe. everyone is speculating that his game will fall off when he was 29 and about to reach his 30. you'll feel your legs are old when you are in your 38's. especially when you are a PRO athlete like them. not taking anything away from VC here. he's still the BEST dunker (even better and higher than MJ).
