I have been away for the weekend with my daughter, spent more than l intended but had a lovely time. Time spent with your loved ones is priceless so it will be egg and chips for a week now 😊
I love egg and chips! A fave dinner. Good plan
Really enjoying your vlogs Jane. It’s like catching up with a friend. Not boring at all! Love the day to day stuff. Please keep them coming 😊
Thanks for watching!
Hello from the USA. I used to live in Whitstable and loved walking along the promenade. It looks like you had a lovely time there. The garden was so pretty!
Aww! A blast from your past!
I put my washing onto hangers, and hang them on the door jambs upstairs, all the upstairs windows open gets it dry in no time... The towels/ pillowcases etc I put onto trouser hangers to spread them out....
I do that with some things so they don’t need much, if any, ironing!
Hi Jane. One of my cats had a problem with skin irritation and scabbing. Vets tried a number of things which didn’t help. I did some research and decided to eliminate fish and fish oils from his diet and the problem cleared up. If ever he has been outside and pinched something fishy from a neighbours cat bowl he has a flare up. Fish oils are often added to meaty cat food so I have to check all the labels. Just thought I would mention it in case it helps you or anyone else reading.
Interesting! I will check
I’m glad you got a quick get away for the weekend. You just need to get back on track again with being intentional with your spending.
Exactly 👍
Awww, lovely Whitstable.......it's on my list of places to house hunt but, crikey, it's almost as expensive as London! Ach, yes, eating out can cost a bomb.......but so worth it for a treat once in a while. 😊 Ooooh, what a treasure trove in your office........love the look f the 'Mechanical Engineer' toy. Awwww, cuddles to Lola. Yay for batch cooked 'ready meals' for a busy day. Hope you're feeling more sorted by now. 😊
Vivi, it’s sooo expensive! We had a look on RightMove out of curiosity. Lots of air B&Bs, second homes and city brokers I think. Hope you are ok x
@@ShoestringJane Ugh, yes....the whole second home thing is making it soooo hard to find anything! Otherwise I'm grand, thanks lovely. 😊
I need to rein it in spending wise . Especially with school holidays here in arounda months kids are off for 7 weeks in my region! Been busy listing this afternoon my wee boy has even been giving me stuff to sell to give him extra money x
Aww, bless him!
I was born in Whitstable and mum still lives there. It’s become a trendy place to live. I think I will also do a no spend or low spend June. Got a couple days out with friend already pencilled in which will involve a small spend so low spend more likely. Loved this video, really interesting and REAL! Hope you’re feeling less tired and able to tackle your jobs. Stay safe
Very trendy and quite expensive! Nice day out for Londoners too
I can relate to spending, even when you're trying not to spend. Lately it's been one thing after another and we made a trip to a town in the next county where there are stores where we can get the things we need (we live in a tiny town)...and we spent a small fortune on odd things that we needed and a meal out. *Sigh* Here's to starting again...
It doesn’t sound like that happens often. And if it’s things you needed, surely that’s ok? Still, we have to budget! Better next month!
Lucky thing! But it's not luck is it,it's planning. As I live in the West Country Kent is the other side of the country for me. In late June im booked to stay at a holiday park on the Kent coast. This particular chain is VERY GOOD VALUE and I'm looking forward to visiting Whitstable,Canterbury, Rochester,Chatham at least. I may not fit everything in. I use public transport but i can try! I've just got back from Paris and there I visited the Bagatelle Rose Garden. That will be glorious by mid-June. It's less than 3 euros entry and the no.43 bus from central Paris stops right outside.
Good luck with your trip! There is certainly a lot to see in Kent. The rose garden sounds sublime...
I enjoyed this ditl video. I also enjoyed your frugal conversation ❤ Thank You
Thanks for watching 🙏
Hi Jane & family. The gardens are magnificent!!! So happy for u all to have a short holiday 💗 🦋
Thank you 🙏
Hi Jane, my little 14 year old cat has had what sounds exactly the same as your cat over the years.I think it may be an allergic reaction to flea bites as when I treat her for fleas it clears up quite quickly.May be something completely different but might be worth mentioning it to the vet.Goodluckxxxxxxx
The vet checked and she doesn’t have any fleas. He thinks it’s something environmental
Commodore 64 reminds me in my youth early 90s . Lucky i never followed the trend of computers now. Far to expensive those consoles are . Xx
It’s very retro!
Look forward to catching up with you, Jane. The weekend looks wonderful, the weather has been like high summer... but now for the downpours. We resorted to the laundrette this weekend, battle damp so have stopped drying anything indoors. And yes, Ebay has really collapsed, it's not you. I sell a few of my own things now and again and have done for many years, just dont get the views any more, the items simply aren't visible. Oh, and did you sell the stagecoach tray from a little while ago?
Ah, yes, I did! I was surprised but it sold quickly
Hi, dear Jane! Don't beat yourself up about the extra spending. We all have months like that, also May has 5 weeks, longer month. Is there a way for us to send you stuff?
Thank you - no, very kind but not necessary x
Our cat suffers from feline miliary dermatitis - it flares up at times- red scabby patches on the back of her neck which she scratches and they weep and get bigger. The vet gives her an anti-inflammatory steroid injection and within a week they've gone ..... until next time!
I wonder what causes it. We may never know, I guess
@@ShoestringJane She's suffered with it for at least 8 years, she's now 12 & none the worse for it.
