He's a self-invented person. A person regardless of race, upbringing, class, etc. has the power to make oneself into a unique being that transcends (the perception of or about) one's race, class, upbringing, etc. It's just that some people are duped by others into thinking they can't or they're too lazy to do so, or they simply don't have the idea or intelligence to do so.
Another example of a self-invented person is Elthelrida from Season 4.

" Kid Otto had with the maid". He literally is talking about Hanzee. Dodd literally called Hanzee a " half-breed", which prompted to become one of the main reason why he took the Gerhardt family down. His mom was native American maid who had an affair with Otto. They had a kid, Hanzee Dent, who when his mom died probably by Otto or Floyd or both because what she did with Otto. Took him in as one of the family, but not family. Which is Hanzee back story.
