For me, this is one of Elvis’ most stunning performances. The presentation, that incredible voice, the charisma & of course the looks.
You know a relationship is going downhill when you are nit picking every thing your partner does.. Elvis could sing with so much passion and truth and that's what made him the BEST. You felt what he was singing.

This is a Righteous Brothers song and they were wonderful, they are in my opinion the best Duo of all time. This and Unchained Melody are their 2 biggest hits and are also the 2 that Elvis sang in concerts. Taking nothing away from the Righteous Brothers, their 2 voices blended perfectly and together they reached all the levels from high to low. Elvis reached all those same levels with his one voice, a voice that you heard with your ears, but felt with your heart and your soul, and some other body parts, depending on the song😮🎉❤

I'm 57 yrs old... this man passed when I was 10.. my mother truly lost it... My sister and I had to tape (cassette tape) all the tributes on the radio.. I still remember like yesterday my mom screaming it can't be true... As I've gotten older.. obviously have learned just how amazing an entertainer and singer this man was. RIP Elvis.

He does a fantastic job with this song, the presentation .. just one teeny mention about that, at the beginning you were looking away, doing something, you said "it was alldark" which it was ... but the fact he turned his back and only his collar was showing, that would have been a good thing to mention. You can't close your eyes or look away on certain songs because Elvis did whatever he felt like doing & things get missed.

Great reaction to another great performance by the king. I was only 9 when he passed but at 56 I love this man more than any other entertainer in the world. The more you know about him, the more there is to love. Jesus was the ONLY perfect man to ever walk this earth. Despite Elvis' shortcomings, he was still a great human being and is missed dearly by millions of fans, old and new!

PS. He had studio and stage makeup. At time he had his eyelashes dyed and an eyeliner but after his glaucoma and the stage lights really bothered his eyes. He perspired so much dancing and putting everything into his songs he’d sweat it off after awhile anyway. Great reaction. ❤
I think of Elvis when he was in prime physical condition too. And that's what he was for most of his life. He was only overweight for the last 2-3 years of his life. That's it. It says something about society if that's what people remember him as.

Exactly and it really makes no sense to me that in this age of more than 50% of Americans being obese actually making a thing about it. Elvis at his heaviest looks tiny next to some of those who are all over America. Add to that, Elvis was dealing with health issues besides his prescription drug use and some of that weight was bloat. You can see that it doesn't look entirely like fat, but bloat and that was caused by the steroid he had been taking for years. Heck we see it in 1970 before he was going on stage puffing on an inhaler. All the years of Elvis and yet so many focus on the end of his life and how he looked. I can only think it has to do with the fact that he was so good looking and it's a way to tear him down. What else am I to think?

Yeah it is a darker version, That's why his eyes looked smoky, I've seen a much brighter version around. it was very dark actually.
I honestly can't see how Elvis would pull off wearing eye shadow while sweating like a beast as he was here. Speaking from experience, you sweat like that while you are wearing makeup, it will be all over your eyes. It would definitely be noticeable. Now we know that in movies and publicity shots he did wear makeup. I believe he did wear some as a younger performer as well. He also didn't sweat as profusely when he was younger while performing. However, in 1970 if he was wearing makeup while sweating that much and I couldn't find a brand to wear in 2000 that wouldn't smear all over my eyes while working out, I'd love to know what magic makeup he wore 😂

I listen to the Elvis channel on Sirius XM every time I take my Mom out of her nursing home.. it brings her so much joy.. the only song I've ever heard Elvis cover that I didn't care for that much was Hey Jude.. just heard it about a week ago.. it was too slow..

........ regarding the weight, he was actually only heavy for the last year of his life BUT everyone paints 1970s Elvis as being fat for the whole decade. It was only extreme from about 1977 when he died (give or take).
