I think it is important for media companies to share their media in any format. Many of the best collections for classic movies, tv shows, cartoon shorts and many others are no longer in print or have been never released. Companies like Disney did their baby steps with the Walt Disney Treasures Before falling flat on their faces by not rereleasing other historical cartoons. Everything deserves to be preserved and companies like Warner Bros, Disney, Universal etc should re release their archives in a physical format. Otherwise if something happens to those archives - It is game over. This is why things should be preserved.

As far as I know, there's very few DVDs with Club Mario and absolutely none with the Danish Super Mario Brødrenes Eventyr segments, King Koopa's Kool Kartoons, or the Korean original live-action segments. Getting a definitive Super Show experience is an absolute nightmare.

I really loved the show when I was in elementary school. I had the first foldout American box and I'd bring it to school in hopes that my music teacher would play it on the tv at the end of class... for some reason...
Also the Cyndi Lauper episode is one I'm fond of for it letting me connect with my parents over a song they were fond of back then. I specifically remember going to this big Golf store and walking through the sea of golf clubs over the green carpet and Girls Just Wanna Have Fun started playing.
I think my childhood was weird.

I once saw a Super Mario Bros. Super Show DVD in a Redbox kiosk. If I remember correctly, it had one or two episodes of the show, and the only other feature was a bunch of previews for other DiC shows, including Inspector Gadget. I don’t even think the thing had subtitles. It did have the Spanish dub of the episodes, though, so there’s that.

Foreigners getting better releases from US shows due to them not having that many licences problems is funny because that is pretty much the reason why Brazil still has Megas XLR on HBO MAX while americans themselves cannot get that show officially due to some corporate scheme by WB there.

As someone who recently acquired NCircle's new Mario 3 set, it's actually not that bad. At least compared to Sonic SatAM.
While it doesn't have the best packaging or presentation compared to Shout Factory, and it's missing the third disc worth of bonus content, the new NCircle set does make up for a few things. The picture quality is pretty much identical, subtitles are now added, and certain glitches that some episodes had on the original Shout Factory set were fixed in the new set.
Overall, NCircle's new DVD release of Mario 3 is pretty tolerable to me. Though I will still keep my Shout Factory set, since I love the original's packaging and presentation too much.

Thank you for asking. What you remembered was absolutely NOT false, Magic Johnson did indeed appear in the Super Show. He made a guest appearance in two live-action episodes, "Magic's Magic" and "Do You Believe in Magic?".
"Do You Believe in Magic?" was paired with the Mario cartoon, "Pirates of Koopa". The full episode is easily available on both Shout Factory's Volume 1 and Beyond's Collector's Set .
"Magic's Magic" was paired up with the Zelda Cartoon, "Cold Spells". However, unlike "Do You Believe in Magic?", "Magic's Magic" never saw a DVD release in the US or Australia. But that segment was included on the Butch Mario and Luigi Kid VHS tape just like you mentioned.
I hope I was able to clear up some confusion. Again, thank you so much for asking.

13:53 Actually, American professional wrestling, specifically the WWF, was immensely popular in Germany in the 1980's through the 1990's, due in part to the popularity of native promotion, Catch Wrestling Association, owned by famed German grappler, Otto Wanz... So Sgt. Slaughter may have been one of the MOST familiar faces to the German audience. Especially since Wanz actually won the AWA (American Wrestling Association) World Heavyweight Championship in 1982, and in between runs in the WWF (now WWE) Slaughter had spent the majority of the 1980's working for Verne Gagne's AWA promotion. Also, while stripped of it's American nationalist dressing, GI Joe experienced a great deal of popularity both in England, and continental Europe throughout the 80's and 90's, so it's quite likely that a child living in late 80's/early 90's Germany would be MORE familiar with Sgt. Slaughter, than they would most other U.S. celebrities.

Thank you so much for telling me all of this. To be brutally honest, I'm not even all that into WWF/WWE, let alone wrestling. So it was really cool hearing all this information I never knew before.
