(725) GIANT Acrylic Pour Painting with Catalyst Wedge and Translucent Base!

WELCOME to my fluid art channel! Today's acrylic pouring video is a giant experiment using a catalyst wedge and translucent base on a 36" X 36" canvas. Was playing with the wedge a year ago but not on a nearly dry canvas (see @ManonPetitArt ) and was inspired to try the translucent base by @RoseMCreations. I added a squirt Golden Pearl Fine to the base to make it slightly more opaque but not sure that was the best idea. What do you think? I'd love to hear from you!!

Lol..I wonder how many of us jumped😆 I thought it was on my screen at first😄 my goodness that canvas was huge! So beautiful. Love the 4th Conner being left alone..really made the other 3 stand out. It's funny because I was thinking..I bet that would be lovely with a silvery grey background and then you showed the varnish drying. Oh Lisa, that turned out incredibly beautiful! 😮 I’ve been seeing more and more use of floetrol with only a pouring medium for transparency. This is so cool! The blowout around it is breathtaking and I love the color palette. That Prussian blue dries so dark, doesn’t it?
You’re brave to do an experimental piece on such a large canvas, however you’ve created a work of beautiful art. ❤
That was quite a large spider that luckily, didn’t end up dropping onto your canvas. You had to been VERY focused not to have seen it.

Eeek !! I would've had to get rid of that little free loader !! Lol. I don't mind many critters but spiders are a huge no no !! Lol. I just left a comment on another video of yours that I watched before this one about the # 2 wedge lol. I love the swirls that it creates, the lines are perfectly spaced. Very pretty all around but I honestly was in love with just the wedge swirls lol. I can't wait to play with mine soon !! 💙🤗
LOL! If I had seen that little bugger when I was filming, I would have taken him outside but didn't see it until editing and left him in there to keep it real! Freaked plenty of people out though so lesson learned! lol!

I hope that the next picture in the finale will be brighter in the middle, and then, as in a fog, pohimich a little, that you will come up with a super snog smashing! Beautiful visually stunning! Are u adding the gloss medium to kinda seal the first layer that u painted as well to have a base coat? I have tried something similar with just flood .

The translucent base is 1/3 Floetrol, 1/3 Liquitex Pouring Medium and 1/3 water.

Hi Lisa, where do you get your translucent base from? Is it also an acrylic base paint?
I just used 1/3 Floetrol, 1/3 Liquitex Pouring Medium and 1/3 water so no need to add any acrylic paint if you want it to dry perfectly clear!!!💙💙💙

Oh! It was kinda cool watching little charlottes web dude drop down lol. I was worried he was gonna drop in the painting!😂 He looked so big cause he was close to the lens that he kinda stole the show for a minute!😅 The poor bugs and animals all have whiplash right now because of the weather. It gets nice and the think they're in the clear for spring. Then another snowstorm comes with the cold and they're searching for a warm place to go again. Which unfortunately has been mine and your house recently, I see!🤷♀ I feel bad for them but I put them right back outside too! I don't wanna be sleeping with any! haha!
