(730) How I Choose My Acrylic Pouring Colors, Part 1: Analogous Colors

WELCOME to my fluid art channel! Today's video is part 1 of something I've been meaning to do for a while as an answer to a much-asked question, "how do you pick your colors?" I think for me it's intuitive at this point but the analogous color scheme is an easy way for beginners to mix colors without creating mud. These colors always feel harmonious together because they are so closely related, but different enough in shade and tint to stand out. I make sure to have a shadow color (dark for much needed contrast), a highlight or bling color, and a mid-tone or two. By choosing colors in this fashion, you will always be happy with the color selection at least and mud is impossible!

It's a definite beautiful color palette, purples are my 2nd fave after blues, I myself never thought about using just plain gray as a base until it was recently suggested to me as an option for blues & silver, I wanted something outside of the usual black & white & I think the gray will work great with A LOT of different palletes. !! Hi friend! I love the way you pick colors. I have trouble with knowing what the consistency should be for paint in a blow out like this one that looks so beautifully ethereal. Is it thin like cream? Thicker like syrup? Or even thicker? And….. How do you mix your cell activator when you want cells - like the video on the small square?
