I built a giant chest to build a storage system inside. But to make things interesting, the chest is open and I built a castle inside it!

Build a cave village with a big lake in the middle under the chest. For some lore the castle in the chest is the royal house of the cave people below it.

For the empty space under the chest, put a chunk loader so the storage system works even if you're not loading it (it will not lag with that storage design), you could also put farms or things you dont wanna show like the chests with stone dirt and other materials you have, also i would love to be one of the residents of your beautiful village, see ya !
or a big big hopper on top with a million hoppers inside...

I think you should build a nice looking lush cave inside the mountain you build for the chest so you can keep every axolotle type in there.

Suggestion for entrance: Make the corner look like it's been gnawed through by mice. I think that would look interesting and it kind of makes sense since that could happen in real life, rather than having a random door in a chest for some reason. Also, there would be a sort story for how the entrance came to be, like "The mice got into the pantry" type thing :D

For the entrance, I think it would be the best if the entrance was inside of the castle! Kind of like a secret bunker or a meeting place for the castle's king and soldiers. Also, I'd love to be a cleric named "The Chief".
dude, i have no idea how many people say this on a daily basis but your terraforming skills are INCREDIBLE, like- deadass jealous ngl because, it's terraformed so well where, you can tell that it's not natural terrain, but it looks like it should be like- idk that sounds weird but it looks AMAZING and i just- honestly could stare at it all day
Awesome work as always, itâs nice to see you consistently putting out great content. For the area under the chest, how about a super smelter that is designed like the castle dungeon/ sewer?
I honestly do seriously love how this building looks! And the custom mountain below it looks really great as well!
One tip I would give, is to try and add a bit more elevation using rocks and such for the custom mountain. Especially in the back of the chest, so it looks like it's embedded more into the thing instead of simply placed on top of it.
For the entrance, I think some sort of redstone device would be quite alright. Maybe a stairway going from the castle down below? That could work as well if you ask me.

I guess you could texture the exterior of the chest, so it will look better.

Well since the chest is your storage area, you could make an iron farm below the chest that feeds directly into the storage system and you have the diamond zombie to do it. Also, a super smelter with an automatic kelp farm would be nice too. This way you don't have to transfer items from the storage area to another area to smelt. It's all right there. Also, that chest needs some texturing but awesome build nonetheless.

So that it won't look bad as if there's a part missing from the chest, while being functional.
Hey man build a huge furnace array under the storage system. And integrate it with the storage system.

To my knowledge (i haven't watched season 1 yet), you haven't made a giant aquarium of some kind yet. I would love to see that!

That chest should have some wear and tear, maybe some greens growing on the sides. Just... something more than flat terracotta.
For the space under the chest, you could make it fully dark and make it a huge mob grinder. It might not work constantly, but I think it would be funny.
But, for real, you could put loads of villager crop farms down there, or put a bunch of pumpkin/melon/sweet berry farms down there to get a lot of emeralds. I haven't even cured my villagers, yet, and I get so many emeralds just from a quad tall melon and pumpkin farm and a quad fox powered sweet berry farm, not even including diorite, stone, crop, and paper trades. An afk fish farm would be good if you have fisherman villagers, as well. If you'd like to make a big kelp farm(I have a dinky one), butchers take dried kelp blocks, as well(just remember to, every so often, check the age of the kelp, so it keeps growing).
Maxed butchers take sweet berries, by the way.

You can build an automatic cobble generator or a tree farm under the chest.

I really love the chest, especially how you made it 3D (unlike certain youtubers who didnt care about the quality...ahem), and it actually looks like a really realistic chest. The entrance to the chest could be in the castle, so the chest wouldnt have a gaping hole in it, but the entrance also needs to be easily accessible.
For the space beneath the chest why dont you add a secret area to store your valuables and building stuff like secret entrances and traps. It would be cool (and a good way to protect your valuables)
That's brilliant! Maybe put the entrance coming up from underneath - a little tunnel in the mountain and then stairs into the underside of the chest so that the outside walls are uninterrupted. There's a natural place you could put the little tunnel or entrance to a stair on the last part of the path up, under the middle of the chest.

And as for an idea for the entrance, maybe one of the castle towers could be hollow so youâd go up and then dive down to enter the storage system like youâre actually entering a giant chest. That, or you could build a little mouse hole like in Tom and Jerry that Jerry always had
For the empty space you can make a furnace room with auto smelter and it will be easy to
store the stuff as it will be near storage.I think it will be a great idea..........

I think you should add a dungeon under the chest for all of those intruders. Also can I be one of you residents (I donât care how much living in your town will cost), and what are you naming your town? Maybe after me? But if you choose me I would like to be a nitwit villager.
I have an idea, make a redstone door from the castle floor going down to the storage room. Like the opening of a bunker style thingy.....
You should have massive open castle doors on the front of the chest as a fly in fly out entrance.
Your builds are crazy good for no reason, I think you should add some texture to the chest though

I suggest having a ton of small farms underneath, like cocoa beans, dyes, snow, etc

For the storage system you should connect it with the castle with a spiral staircase.

Suggestion for entrance: Make a lock on the front side of the big chest. I mean a lock where you put a old key. Yea that gap where you put a key. Make that the entrance. Old style lock entrance

you should use a hidden redstone door to get into the chest. have it open by stepping on a pressure plate and the wall of the chest suddenly pops open. but when closed you cannot tell its there.

Make a lush ravine reaching down to storage system through some cracks of castle floor.
Also u could make wines reaching the ground from the chest
make an entrance in the mountain you built to get into the chest. and maybe underneath you can build a squid farm.
P.S. i would love to be a fisherman in the house on the water. i think it makes sense to put fishermen there
Maybe you can make the throne for a dwarven king with staircases going down to an empire of dwarfs from the hobbit film intro, and maybe a waterfall to go into the storage system. LOVE you're vids keep up the good work!!!
it may be a simple idea, but even compared to the hermit's megabases of the past three seasons, I largely prefer the charme and child-like imagination that went into this build. Thank you so much for this delight, even after multiple rewatches
