Then I raised the valve up where it can easily be turned on and off. One needs to treat the add-on hoses just as you would any other rubber hose. They need to be drained in cold weather.

My pleasure aeon. I wish I could recommend the one I have but it often gives false alarms. Yes, you can use these just about anywhere there's a potential water problem. I have several of them around the house. The ones I have are made by Ooma and they are mediocre. The Ooma Telo Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) device is great but the WiFi water alarms aren't that great. Thanks for stopping by.
