The Olamp is a unique take on both desktop spotlighting and ambient or accent lighting. On the accent side, a dimmable white light as well as a couple options for a multicolored display.
Adding to the unique shape is the whole thing is USB-C rechargeable with a 4000 milliamp battery and a removable spotlight/flashlight. Further, the removable light operates with a double shake instead of a physical switch.
Lastly, there is more to come since the spotlight interface is a standard Olight charging port meaning some existing Olight products.
From Olight:
Nightour
1. A rechargeable LED lamp with a built-in 4000mAh rechargeable battery, the light stem can run up to 31 hours when unplugged.
2.It can be tilted the lampheas to 90 degrees by turning the charging port for the best angle of illumination.
3.The integrated magnetic charging port can charge many compatible Olight products, like the Baton 3, Obulb MC, Obulb MCs etc.
4. Delivering fantastic 256-color rotation besides the normal red, green, blue rotation that can be fixed when you find your favorite.
5. Two-way toggle switch.Stepless-adjust or change the output of the light stem by flipping up/down the toggle switch at the bottom.
Oh that’s cool with the obuddy on it!
I think the idea here is to have a portable reading lamp. Where do you see reading lamps and if you do, they are huge. This thing can be moved anywhere and then you have both a portable flashlight and an olight charger built in. I could see people having 2 of these in the living room.
I've tried it for some zoom calls, but prefer my Lumecubes. it does make a great bedside lamp, but is quite bright when turned on from hours of pitch black. And I use the column portion 10x more than the spotlight at the moment.
Don't forget you can also attach and use the baton 2 and 3 in place of the nightours included lamp head as well.
Thanks. I did not know that, but it makes sense.
Wow didn’t realize how many options this o lamp has. Definitely going to pick one up. Thank for the awesome video 👍
Wish it came back in stock
Reminds me of the old lava lamp concept with a few other features.
Very neat from Olight! 👍
Hello again Doc
Thank you for another Great Video. I'm not sure what I would use this for? I do like most of the other Olight products. Again thank you.
Reminds me a little of LAX.
:)
Unusual and kind of cool!
It's nice to see a fresh design.

OMG! I have a watch3 of these videos. No one has shown how this light woukd work as a light for reading light on a side table
What torch works with the olamp is it the baton mini3..?
I wouldn't mind having a somewhat similar light that would stick to a level surface and that could be aimed at whatever is being worked on.
This came to mind, as I could use one right now. I'm refurbishing a Starrett 257C surface gage. Its case hardening patina is nothing short of beautiful, so I'm careful not to change any of it. The bright work, however, is a different story. I'm using an overhead desk lamp with a cold bulb, can see marring better, and I have a neck light going, as well. Could still use more light. Something that can be aimed directly on the work.
BTW, where is the Snap-on guy? Hope he's well.
The height of this Olamp makes it a great little work light. When I use my other lights that are only a half dozen inches or less above the ground, they make it hard to see. The downward angle and soft artifact-free lighting is very useful.
@@lastbesttool Just went to have a serious look. I'm not comfortable with the pricing. $80 on sale. I'd pay $60 for a more powerful model and don't want the light show. Too, the I5 is now $60 on sale. Granted, it's more powerful than the i5 that I bought for less than $25, but c'mon! If Olight want my business, they have to offer a better value.
@@felixf5211 I hear you. I'm guess this is more a proof of concept designed to explore a lighting space where the competition is thin. Or you could look at it a just another piece of spaghetti on the wall. Will it stick?
Oh what a lamp.
Doc haze you used their pen light ? How do you like it compared to other brands
I have several of their pen lights that take two AA batteries or rechargeable. I really like them I also have other brands including Streamlight, 4Sevens, Milwaukee, etc. The Olight is great and the tail switch is solid. The Streamlight requires a hard press, and the 4sevens takes little pressure. Both of which are less desirable since fighting with the light or finding it on in the pocket are both undesirable. I would not hesitate to get the Olight in a penlight size. Others may have more features and settings, but for me a penlight has a simple job it must preform well before leaving it's lane.
My olight turns on buy itself there junk
awful company refusing refund for sending me second defective bike light - both defective from day one and company informed within 24 hours - look elsewhere please
Great video but one ugly lamp.
Uhm. Uhm. Uhm. Uhm.
Don't buy
I know you like high end stuff, Olight is junk
