    fyi no need to remove battery and air box for bushings A. there are holes in the radiator support that you can go down thru with an extension

    Nicely done. Thank you. Great video. I would have suggested to apply a new bead of lock-tite to the bolt thread. As well as retightening to 80ft lb to compensate for the extension.

      @@torrer2013 Easy-peasy -lemon squeezy. Went like clock-work with no surprises, other than a CORRODED bolt below the battery. Must have gotten some battery acid down there, at sometime in the last twenty years. Ate away at the shank of the bolt, making it VERY stubborn to remove. Luckily, the cup washer threads were undamaged.
      Had to get a NEW bolt from the dealer. They only sold them in FOUR packs.

      Sorry I’m just seeing this content, so I had a mount where the hardware was too bent to use so I had to wait a day for the replacement part, but I’d say about 2-3hrs without inconveniences, you can save time with power tools and a torch/penetrating fluid if there’s rust

    Great video! Do you think the polyurethane type replacements you used would feel much different than the OEM "rubber" looking stock bushings? Thanks

    • @torrer2013
      @torrer2013  Před rokem

      So I did feel a big difference but it may be because the others were worn out. I think the polyurethane ones offer better durability as opposed to rubber that wears out faster.

      So I did not need to torch it but I am in California and had no rust. I did need PB blaster and a breaker bar but I do know that torching the bottom is also an effective way of getting it loose.

      I am currently having the same issue. I have the bolt loose but it is spinning on the bottom. It is such a tight area I can’t get any vise grips to hold the bottom washer from spinning. It has 2 flat sides to it but can’t find a tool that fits it. How did you finally get your apart? This is the D bushing.

      @@brianmitchell535I’m doing mine now. How did u get the (D) out? I’m having a hard time. I’ve got the bolt out but can’t break loose the bracket.

    • @brianmitchell535
      @brianmitchell535 Před rokem

      They sure don’t show how difficult this is in the videos buddy. I got mine off by using some vice grips and locking it down as tight as I could, and getting it in a bind until it broke loose. You want to get as much of a bite on that bottom part as possible(the flat part). Eventually you will get it tight enough and it will bind up as it spins around and it should come off. Keep working at it because it took me many tries to get it. There’s not a whole lot of room in that area to begin with which doesn’t help.

    • @kthao79
      @kthao79 Před rokem

      How can u used a vice grip when theres no room? Especially when the mount is still intact.
