  • Walter Ray Williams Jr and Deo Benard in the 2023 PBA/PBA50 Emerald Southwest doubles at Emerald Bowl in Houston TX. This is the step ladder baker games. Deo and I led the tournament and will be in the last match. 4 teams made the step ladder finals after the top 12 teams advanced from 8 games of qualifying. My ball of choice was the Violent Collision while Deo used the Hammer NU. The pattern was 42’ Steelsmith, 12-17-23. www.walterray.com, #BrunswickBowling, #CompassSportswear, #ViseGrips

      Pete McCordic threw the first televised 300 that I ever saw. I remember being a young kid at the time and being on the edge of my seat the whole time. I remember he was visibly shaking in the 10th frame, as would just about anybody when a live crowd is watching you. He pushed through the nerves and finished it out though.

    Just now watching this replay. Congrats on the win. I guess if you are the Goat you can overcome any lane transition. That was quite a display of "controlling your rock" on the lane of choice for the finals. I watched the practice shots before the final and was sure after 3 shots hooked early in the fronts/mids you were going to switch lanes with Deo or try another orb. Deo looked like he was getting a little carrydown during his finals practice created from his earlier allowed practice shots while you waited for the finals. I thought Deo would start on the right lane to avoid bis own practice carrydown and you would start on the left lane to avoid the early hook created by Ryan & Sean-Lavery. I would have lost that bet. Awesome display of loft and projection/launch angle to get the ball to go through the pins. But, what else would you expect from Walter Ray Williams Jr .... very nice!

      @@walterraywilliamsjr3964 Je suis d'accord avec vous. Moi aussi si je possédais un bowling ce serait pour former les jeunes. Nous en France ce n'est pas le cas. Il y avait un bowling ou l'on pouvait se mettre sur réserve practice et c'est grâce à ce moyen que j'ai pu m'entrainer à fermer mes spares et splits. comme 5-10. Maintenant ils ont changé le système informatique et on ne peut plus s'entrainer sur les quilles seules , comme ma pas copine la 10. Avant l'épidémie nous étions 15 000 licenciés......maintenant 8 000 environs et beaucoup de seniors +. En plus c'est cher , nous on dépense 500 € par mois , et nous faut faire 80 kms aller retour pour aller au bowling . Ce que nous faisons 3 fois par semaine à raison de 4h d'entrainement à chaque fois. Vous voyez on est accroc ...( sourire ) Notre rêve aurait été d'aller aux États Unis jouer dans un de vos beaux bowlings. J'ai regardé toutes vos vidéos et aussi vos matchs ainsi que ceux de Chris Barnes. Sans vous je ne saurais toujours pas jouer. Bonne fin d'année Mr Williams , meilleurs voeux pour la future année et merci pour vos leçons.

    I never have, and never will understand any bowler who wipes their ball off and takes that same side of the towel directly to their shoe and wipes it. I'm going NOWHERE NEAR my slide shoe with an oil soaked rag. I dont buy the argument that the towel "only absorbs". If I saw that from an opponent, and began slipping and losing my footing, I would definitely make an issue out of it.

      I see a lot of bowlers do it. But I’m not one

    • @walterraywilliamsjr3964
      @walterraywilliamsjr3964  Před 6 měsíci +10

      I don't wipe my ball off very often. I think it is ironic that bowlers wipe their ball off and complain about the lack of oil. Shot to shot I don't see much of a difference wiping my ball off. But I will do it sometimes on lots of oil and when I bowl 2 handed so my left hand doesn't slip.

    • @teejay6063
      @teejay6063 Před 6 měsíci

      @walterraywilliamsjr3964 I'll use it as a tool and take the oil off if I want lees length and leave it on if I want more. It doesn't make a massive difference, but maybe enough to get the shape just right.
