  • Our base plumbing system is complete so before we backfill we need to do a 10 ft static water test. Check out the video to see how it went!

Thanks for documenting this! Super helpful for all of us. I know you mentioned wrapping the pipes to account for a bit of concrete expansion but I don't think I see any of the pipes going through a sleeve in the footer, which is something I've seen on other videos (IE any pipe going through the footer goes through a sleeve 2 sizes larger than the pipe size. Not required in your area?

I think I've seen the type of sleeve you're describing but maybe it's only required based on the foundation type? Ours is a monolithic slab instead of footings/stem walls so maybe that's why it wasn't in the plans for us or required per the county. Anyway, hope that helps and thanks for watching!

Found your channel again. Starting this process in about 4 weeks! Really great videos, working through them all again, I'll ask a few questions at the end lol

Thanks again for sharing all this - quick question, did you have to sleeve your plumbing pipes with a larger size pipe where the drain lines are passing through the footing? Or did you just wrap them with foam?

The plans didn't call for a sleeve so we just wrapped them with foam. Thanks for watching!
