I vote for a beginner figure skating routine ! I was disappointed the video wasn't on jumps at first, but then, seeing this lil footwork routine, it made me want to try it as soon as later today (when the sun's risen and the ground is dry lol), it's exactly what I need to challenge myself now that I'm comfortable with the basics!

That rink looks so cool! I just love your videos, I just started roller skating about a month ago, but I use to ice skate (so many differences). I first got inspired to buy some roller skates while pushing my mom (84) along the El Dorado trail in her wheel chair. Anyway for a month I entertained her by practicing your videos in the kitchen (mom use to be a car hop on roller skates in the 50's so she appreciates the art of skating). I took my skating out in public for the first time today, I fell SO MANY TIMES, lol- I had all the gear on so no worries, so cool to fall and not hurt myself. I am so grateful for your content Dirty Debra Harry-you taught me everything I know. Maybe one day you can shoot a halloween inspired video up north here when they resurrect the ol Sleepy Hollow Roller rink.

I just wanted to come back to this video to tell you thank you. This video and the video that goes with this one (footwork on the straight away) has given me hours and hours of skills to work on. I have watched them (especially this one) multiple times, often in slow mo, and then I take it to the rink. Today’s theme was dragging my foot mid transition. I don’t want to brag… but, it’s looking better and better! 🤩😝

I used to live by a Skateland. I skated Wed, 6-8, Fri, 4-10 Sat, 1-8 and sometimes until 10, Sun 12-6 for several years. Well that was 40 years ago. I bought some outdoor skates and put them on and could barely stand up! 🤣 I remember skating, but my body forgot.

I think I’ve watched this 6 or 7 times over the last several weeks. (A few times in slow mo 😆). I’m getting there and drilling cross pulls. I can’t turn counter clockwise like I can clockwise. It’s so smooth clockwise! But I keep drilling. I’ll get there!
