For those that might wonder: Main reason for not looking at your skates (as a beginner) while doing this excercise is that you will be "hanging/leaning" (not quite table topping) out over your feet, which kills/removes momentum from the movement of your skates. Which is normally part of what makes it a tricky trick for beginners to figure out :)

I know you have it in one of your other videos but I am super struggling. I managed 3 last week and none this week. I can do it in my socks but not skates. Thank you and sending love from the Uk ❤️

Hi Coach...so not sure if I mentioned my background so I wanted to give you a Lil history since we are in this together. Lol I did high school gymnastics (specializing on floor and vault)...I went on to major in Dance and then went on to teach and compete professional Ballroom. Hobbies...league bowling, league tennis and league softball. I started skating in May of 2022 and found you a little over a month ago when tackling my back crossovers...which are getting butter now. TY! I thought it only fair to share a Lil of me since you put so much of you out there for us.
Question: Coach, I need a path to appropriate nutrition for skating and over all general good health. I struggle In that area and would love if you could explore a segment of eating properly and perhaps provide us some resources to get started if need be.
Also Coach...do you recommend practicing one leg moving balance drills on tight or loose trucks? I have about 7 pairs of skates now and I'm wondering if need to upgrade all of my plates to one's that have the click system on the kingpin so I know exactly if my trucks are even? I can tell that they are not all the same and its bothering me, however I do get a good challenge and better understanding of where my body weight needs to be when i switch from outdoors to indoors...asphalt to tennis court by them all not being the same.
