An actual truck is something that is practical and reliable in every thinkable usage for work and utility purposes. Youâll never see these things being the work horses of a hauling/ towing company, youâll never see these serving as platforms for emergency vehicles, it will never make sense for any handyman or construction crew to get something like this when there are just flat out better options (i.e: Ford F-Series, Toyota Tacoma/ Tundra, Chevy Silverado series, & Dodge RAM series to name a few) for their needs, and the fully electric concept entirely nullifies the âDo anything, anywhere, if not forever then a really really long timeâ.
Yeah It is funny. But a smaller 90s Japan style electric truck could be cool and if the cost was low enough people might buy it as a second runabout. The real reason that ICE trucks are better is the range -especially when towing. That's literally it.

@@tripzero0 off grid charging is a thing however youâll need a generator or solar panel, fueling isint instant like a liquid fuel. With it being entirely electric the ability to work on it on the fly is basically impossible unless your a trained Tesla tech, it has a long warranty however after that expires youâll have a heafty bill to pay to have the battery replaced. It may last long but it will never compare to how long deisel trucks can last even abandoned in a bush. Also if you took a deisel truck of the same or even less msrp the deisel truck will have better performance while you can also have all the âluxuriousâ interior features. Anyone with a cyber truck or a truck that has less than an 8foot bed does not have a truck itâs just a large suv. Thatâs why anyone that uses a truck and actually does any work with it does not use an f150 or 1500 equivalent. Itâs a daily driving vehicle but should not be considered a truck. I like Elon as a person and I like many of his ideas but Eletric vehicles are far inferior to the liquid fuel equivalents. And yes we are living in an age where very shortly if you donât comply with what the government wants you to do there will be a point where if you donât comply with what they say you will not be able to drive evs. If you donât believe me itâs literally happening in other countries and at that Covid was a perfect example of the governmental system testing their authority
It has a TV, you can slip a body through the passenger doors and it can go in circles.
Hey. The #1 reason the CyberTruck is better than gas trucks is... they don't flip over easily, spinning in the air and ejecting people to their doom like gas vehicles do.
I have been side swiped in a bt550 on the high way. The BT550 never rolled it just got knocked off the road. We then drove 500km after that crash. The car that hit us was written off
what truck seats donât go up in the back lmao
And not to mention those diesel pickup trucks they're so outdated electric is the modern way to go
Ugliest thing I have ever seen and also most gas pickups have the rear seats fold up if its an extended cab or crew cab
they canât fold the stainless steel bc itâs too thick but the rest of your point is valid
what's less complicated, a bunch of intuitive knobs and AC controls we've used for decades, or a complicated screen that you have to navigate through just to turn up the AC

Reason 2: Steer by wire isnât new
Reason 3 : The Honda Ridgleine wants their backseat back

Screw that. It's minimalism all the way.
1 makes it worse. 2 gives you less precise steering feeling. 3 is in every other pickup on the market
Well, those annoying nobs and buttons actually save me a lot of time
Every truck has option 3 nd sum are power down your cybertuck is not special buttons are basically shortcuts easy to use instead of doing a 3 step to then move and direct âairâ and a 18.5 inch screen who cares most modern trucks have at least a 12 inch screen with a digital display and heads up which compensates for the size and turning radius is amazing but it canât tow much at all and even if u do thereâs no charge Iâm station that provide enough space youâll have to unhook and then charge wait 3+ hours if u go long hauls this is very annoying Iâll gladly take my F-350 lariat ultimate that has most modern tech 2023 so I has the refreshed exterior and new interior absolute ginormous truck
It can tow up to 11 thousand pounds and at a supercharger, it takes 35 minutes.
@@Cosmo-2633 yea 11 thousand any full size pickup can handle that with almost no difficulty and itâs in between in size full size and the big 1 ton trucks and only 11 pounds of tow wow and yes it might charge in 38 minutes but that to 75-80% but u have to unhook and then do it all of over again very complicated to do all that
@lil_pe3p 11 thousand is as much as a f150. Unplugging it is really easy its like plugging in a gas car. Also most of the time you charge overnight in your house. You only use the supercharger during long road trips.
The first two points are an automatic NO for me. I do not want a screen that can break, takes up part of my road view and will ruin my night vision to be controlling my vehicle. No wonder Tesla headlights are so blinding to other drivers. I like buttons I can work by feel instead of having to look away from the road to do something. Steer by wire, no physical connection to the road wheels, what can possibly go wrong? Well, everything. The computer can freak out or be hacked and someone can steer you into another car, off a cliff, whatever. This thing is a pile of crap and a disaster waiting to happen. Rolling iPhone. Buyers are fools.
1: You can get a custom screen put in
2: The turning copy and pasted so it's nothing new
3: The trunk exists, so this means nothing
Only reason why I would get cybertruck is because petrol is like 2.25 cent a litre in australia đ đ
My sister saw this kind of âtruckâ before, and she literally said âewww why does it look like a brick????âđ
This only makes the slightest bit of sense if a âTruckâ just means just another flashy car with some quirks.

These were the same people complaining about big trucks taking up the streets and now that they got one from Tesla theyâre all for it.
Yeah It is funny. But a smaller 90s Japan style electric truck could be cool and if the cost was low enough people might buy it as a second runabout. But most trucks in America these days are way to big for most uses and it is due to regulation. The one thing the electric truck does not need to worry about is emission regulations so why are electric trucks so big.
Did he say climate controls are simpler on Tesla because they donât have physical controls?
This truck basically takes the storage of the ridgeline but enhanced a bit with the frunk
Fr ppl be so "omg it has no buttons" if i could i would just install a massive screen in my car to do all of that
I definitely agree with all of this and Iâm definitely never switching back to gas!
But number 3 is not even special and number 1 is strait downgrad. If this is why you went electric you dumb. If you want a electric truck that's cool but these are poor choices to get one.
Any case all American style pic ups are stupid. I want a electric truck the size of a 90s japaness truck.
Dodge charger: GAS GAS GAS IMA STEP ON THE GAS TONIGHT YE YE YE!
My F150 has seats that fold up. Touch screen is irrelevant of drive architecture. Steer by wire is independent of drive architecture.
Talk about differences endemic of BEV vs ICE.
You can't load anything over the side of the bed. It's an 8,000lb monstrosity that can't even be used for towing, and that 8,000 makes it horrible in the snow which cant be helped with larger tires, becasue that would make the range even worse. You cant take it through a car was as per manual and you've got the added bonus of having a frunk with zero saftey features which will sheer your fingers off. A vehicle so dangerous that the EU nor Japan will allow it sold there. This will go down as the biggest auto failure in history.
Nah bruh if that thing crashes, the car would survive, but youđ
Okay I like tesla a bit but you didn't just call the knobs annoying
OG cars have it
Knobs are better because it is easier to find thing
No hate but 1 reason I think the cybertruck is not an actual pickup truck is cause itâs not diesel. You donât get the feel of the truck.

Nom of those things matter for trucks.
The better turning circle is great and all but not needed.
Rear seats being raised, or lowered is not new and nothing stops you from just loading on to the seat. All so single cab trucks are better since a bigger bed is what a truck needs.
The display screen is dumb it is the opposite of a advantage since those buttons and bobs are far easier to use and easier to fix.
It clear that the cyber truck was not made to do truck things but to cater to people that never go off road or who idea of off road driving is going on a farm road and getting offer taken by a dude in a wv golf
Have you had to send your back for the recall yet? None of the "reasons" you gave makes it a btter truck.
It's pretty sad that this guy's entire identity is owning Teslas.
Bruh, first is dumb, but second is underated tbh
Iâve never seen a truck or anything bigger than a med size car with a good turning radius.
Ya serious....you can't compare with a regular gas pick up truck...
F150 Lightning is better. Big screen and fold up seats that are heated and have collapsible storage bins. Ford been making trucks for decades. Iâll drive a truck from someone that has been making them for years.
I'd take high-quality buttons over an ipad on the dash
Wow. It has an annoying touch screen that car makers arrest now trying to avoid as real customers hate them......good luck keeping the cybertruck steady at high speed with that steering wheel....3 seats are best for reasons....
Chevy has option three bud
My guy I love Tesla and I have a model 3 but these are not reasons for the cybertruck to be any good. You forget the fact that it rusts like heck, cannot tow very much wait for a pickup truck and has horrific blind spots. And no self driving whatsoever.
You can just put an ipad in your truckđ
I like knobs and switches, the screen is a cost saving for the manufacturer and not as tactile

The screen more of a personal opinion, I like the screen myself, but not everyone does.
No towing capacity. Canât go off-road. Most modern trucks have fold up rear seats. Look like shit. Just a few reasons why cyber trucks are gay
You realize most trucks have all of this minus the 4 wheel turning.... and they have the same turning radius as that.... now lets talk about towing capacity which is what a truck is for.... I really like the idea though
It's also insanely expensive
And still not released after YEARS
