new exhaust hood trim plate thing with thicker metal that wont bend. black with silver mounting hardware.
new raw metal exhaust pipe. do not paint black the contrast is needed, its invisible currently. maybe ti pipe?
black insulation rubber in between widebody lines and body panel.

I used to blow up hub bearings on my Civic all the time. I got some Moog bearings pressed in. They have been fine for the pass several years. Track abuse & all. As far as those parts that you bought from the junkyard is concerned they are totally wrong. They are probably EX or SI spindles. They have a bigger Brake system & the later models come with rear disc. An easy way to tell the difference is the caliper as 2 bolts where it mounts to the bracket(SI/EX) The CX has one at the bottom & sliding pin at the top. If you want to do a big brake conversion you will need the calipers, rotors, spindles &Hub assembly.

You didn't need to remove the whole strut to preload your setup correctly. Also you need to turn the preload up by hand till you feel the spring getting snug, then turn the locking collar up against the top one. Then you turn the preload collar up some more by 5mm (use the C spanner to test as it is supposed to be 5mm thick). Once you get the spanner snug between the preload collar and locking one turn the locking collar up and tighten the two together.

When you tighten the bolts to the caliper bracket it pulls the caliper in towards what it’s connected to. With the different hub and rotor there is likely different offset that pushes it out further just enough for the pads to make contact with it. I had the same problem when buying TT brakes for my NA z32. You’re not going to be able to make it fit like that and it’ll drive you crazy trying. Sorry but you will have to go back 😕

This is why you should buy new parts after doing research. Saves you time and gives you the assurance that it won’t break and if it does, you can warranty the part

Instead of the Junk yard. How is your access to local JDM Shops in your area? Sure you can find a JDM integra hub assembly for cheap or even JDM EG stuff. Or if all else fails. Hop onto kijii or craiglist put in price of $800 max and maybe you will be able to find an DC2 for cheap as a parts donor to your civic . Good luck and keep up the good work

The reason you are breaking wheel bearings isn't because of your tyre wear it's because the offset on your wheels is far too low for a fwd car, it puts A LOT more pressure on the wheel bearing assembly

Just a thought, but if the axle nut isn’t torqued to spec the hub bearing will go out prematurely.

Make sure your torque your axle nut over torquing a axle nut will cause premature wear on a wheel bearing

Some times brake calipers compress when removing them so if you were to decompress them with some leverage, or just drive it, it might go away. I'm not saying this is the best idea, its more of a last resort

Im guilty and do the same thing with trying to fix small problems the cheap way, but if you are going to daily the civ I’d just buy all brand new bearings for the fronts and call it a day. It might be annoying spending money on lame bearings but it’ll be worth it. Keep up with the good work!

the spindle you got from junkyard appears to be a bigger one which has the bigger 10" rotor instead of the 9.5 inch rotor...so go to junkyard and get other spindle. then get caliper and 23T caliper bracket from ITR at your autoparts store (here in the US its $100 amazon), rotors from a 2007 mini coo[er and pads from 2004 tsx. In my channel I just a video on this upgrade using NSX calipers which bolts up similar to ITR. So if I were you, I would get that other spindle and start getting things together and do this upgrade. Its a cheap BBK upgrade popular among Honda guys. Again, I explain in a video or free to message me and I can answer questions.

next time you blow a bearing just buy new ones and get them pressed in. you can do the at home job and freeze the bearing then quickly wack it in or sandwich it in a bench vise. you dont know how many kms are on a used bearing so it might not last. also some scrap yards have a warranty
