I rode 90 east and west on Fri am and Sat am. I got some amazing pics of the water . That huge house off 90 was flooded at the entrance. But hell, they obviously have deep pockets to rebuild if necessary.
I think that people think that these people have deep pockets or they have a lot of extra money. I think that most people are going from check to check and don't have extra money. I think it is best to start living like a hillbilly and embrace some of those ways because they work.
All that money spent that was supposed to stop the closures and they still had to close the road. Time and money along with the inconvenience and they still did not do what they were supposed to do. Build it up high so that it didn't close the road when the river hit flood stage. Incompetence and wasting our money runs rampant in this state.
TF you on about, I have lived in the area for the last 55 years and HWY 90 has never shut down completely, only the westbound traffic road because it's on the low side, this is the first time they've shut down all of it. To me, they are doing a great job.
That is six once in a century floods on this route since the beginning of the 21st century.
Everything is fine. Good work TXDoT!
Thanks to lake Conroe and lake Livingston. Opening their dams at 2am
