James Staples: Anthropology, food, and identity politics in India

Professor James Staples discusses how he got into anthropology in the first place, and how his long-standing interest in food and its connections to class and social mobility eventually led him to South India.
What is anthropology? Anthropology is the scientific study of humanity, concerned with human behavior, human biology, cultures, societies, and linguistics, in both the present and past, including past human species.
