The Ohio Extravaganza you were at had some gorgeous items on the tables. I know you only purchase certain items but, you did walk by some incredible glass pieces. I wanted to reach my hand through my computer and grab some of those beautiful pieces. I sure wish I was there with you shopping. It seems like a great place.

That was a Fenton Hobnail Fairy Lamp...almost fell off my chair hollering " Get the fairy lamp" 🤦
@@ljgc123 the one I saw is at about 8:29. It's behind a little orange vase with white flowers and a little cat figurine. It's blue, kinda shaped like a bullet. Usually a top and a bottom piece, top comes off, tea light or votive or incense goes in the bottom, then top back on...kinda like a little glass lantern, thus, fairy lamp. Several glass makers made them.
I love how George just knows stuff. Imagine what Joc will be like at his age. She will be so smart we won’t be able to stand her lol.

What fun, so many lovely things. I know the frustrating feeling of running out of money. I never seem to have enough. There are some nice flea markets here in Germany in summer, but no thrift stores like Goodwill. I will spend my last 50 cents in a market. Lol. Sadly my favorite social shop is closing, and I still need to buy quite a few things before it closes in Nov. What will I do without my fix. So sad, that's the damage done to small businesses due to the massive pandemic lock down for 4 months. My heart breaks to see lovely people lose their livelihoods. My favorite piece you found is the stunning Murano glass bowl at the end. That is just too special to sell. Thanks for sharing. Drive home safely.

Driftwood is the “ bomb.com”. My Dad is always on the hunt for it. He carves fish and other critters and puts them on the driftwood. They are gorgeous works of art. I should find a picture of some and post & share

OMG ! That's my bowl , at 14:43 you slightly look at a carnival glass bowl . I have that bowl , it was handed down to my from my grandmother. I love it , one of my favorite things in my house.
That was a beautiful bowl, I so wanted her to buy it. You're lucky to have one passed down to you, & it's meaningful bc it's been passed down in your family.

Further to my last message, I went to my favorite social shop yesterday and had the joy of finding some lovely things before it closes in Nov. I love German quality. I'm not German but I can immediately see the workmanship. I wanted plates, bowls, and side plates for home for special occasions. I paid 50 cents each which made my day as I don't work. I so much appreciate that the social shop is not out to make a huge profit, but helps people in need. Hence its a social shop. I cannot bear waste and seeing anything going to the landfill. I support living and caring for mother earth, and believe everything that someone else is tired of can have a new home or be repurposed. It's a win win situation. Take care.

Driftwood is used a lot in craft projects. People are making winter fairy gardens out of it for holiday decor now!

Ahhh You passed up the Pekingese dog figurine too. At 11:16. They are not easy to find. I am always looking for them and that one looked nice. My goal, after getting the big tree cut down and a new heater which I have to get now for safety reasons, is to go to that flea market next year. It is bigger than anything around me. I have driven the two hours to get to the Williams Grove one as that is bigger than what is around me too.
I need those blue bottles for my bottle tree! Speaking of driftwood, I dug a piece out of the marsh locally several years ago. It turned that there was much more of it under ground that there was above ground and it took two of us to carry it to the car. Rinsed the mud off of it and it sits under the kitchen windows at the front of my house. I've been offered quite a bit of money for it, but not interested after all I went through to get it. Some of the stores around here sell small pieces for $30, $40, even $50 dollars. I like to get a legitimate appraisal of what mine is worth.

The duck TV lamp at 6:28 is exactly like the one my mom and dad had, but my cat knocked it down and broke it. I still feel bad about it and that was over 45 years ago.
