Adam Duritz certainly has an unmistakable voice.
Duritz has the ability to convey emotion with his voice more than most others.
As soon as Adam Duritz starts singing my blues melt away
Jerry would have been very happy. That was a great performance
Kells Cartman True

My guy ain't never changed his style! Makes everything his own..

Holy Shit!!! I've listened to this before but I'm just realizing Adam is wearing a sweatshirt from my high school. That's awesome! MSC Class of '95
My personal favorite Stern musical moment ever. Heard this live & it blew my mind
As a full on deadhead, this is really really good
That was, as Artie says, FANTASTIC! He sings with so much emotion you feel like you're living the song.
After all these years these guys play and Adam sings...I melt...every time.
BEST VOICE I'VE EVER FUCKING HEARD IN MY MANY LIVES, YESSS BOYS! still gots it
Jerry and Robert would both love this cover. Well done
I feel embarrassed that I have not been exposed to this song until recently and this is an amazing rendition
RIP Robert Hunter and JG
The 90s were such an underated time in music especially after the fick show that was the 80s, these guys are a good example of that, don't get me wrong, I love me some 80s, but had something different, the end of rock maybe, maybe that's why it was special
Singer can make anything sound like his own.
The fact that Howard pulls this type of stuff out of people.
This is absolutely my favorite performance ever, they’re amazing

Much love I love this music yeah u know the devil 1000 years punishment that's long gone so who's in control now let me make friends with the dark angel.hi from England
Fire
I lit up from Reno
I was trailed by twenty hounds
Didn't get to sleep that night
Till the morning came around
Set out running but I'll take my time
A friend of the Devil is a friend of mine
If I get home before daylight
I just might get some sleep tonight
I ran into the Devil, babe
He loaned me twenty bills
I spent that night in Utah
In a cave up in the hills
I set out running but I take my time
A friend of the devil is a friend of mine
If I get home before daylight
I just might get some sleep tonight
I ran down to the levee
But the Devil caught me there
He took my twenty dollar bill
And he vanished in the air
I set out running but I take my time
A friend of the Devil is a friend of mine
If I get home before daylight
I just might get some sleep tonight
Got two reasons why I cry
Away each lonely night
The first one's named sweet Anne Marie
And she's my heart's delight
Second one is prison, baby
The sheriff's on my trail
And if he catches up with me
I'll spend my life in jail
Got a wife in Chino, babe
And one in Cherokee
First one says she's got my child
But it don't look like me
I set out running but I take my time
A friend of the Devil is a friend of mine
If I get home before daylight
I just might get some sleep tonight
Got two reasons why I cry
Away each lonely night
The first one's named sweet Anne Marie
And she's my heart's delight
Second one is prison, baby
The sheriff's on my trail
And if he catches up with me
I'll spend my life in jail
Got a wife in Chino, babe
The one in Cherokee
The first one says she's got my child
But it don't look like me
I set out running but I took my time
A friend of the Devil is a friend of mine
If I get home before daylight
I just might get some sleep tonight

Nice
They should put that into the next project.
It sounds exactly what it was counting crows
Adam is pretty inconsistent with his live vocals, but this was a perfect representation of his studio voice during the band's peak. Brilliant.
Niiiice!!
👍
That Collings was lovely, the Santa Cruz needed a little tuning 😆
This was a good version of that song.
Fa Fa Fantastic it is
Is that the original lead sing for Counting Crowe’s?
Mt st Charles is woonsocket Rhode Island? What's his connection here?
Sounds like a Counting Crows song
Adams voice is a friend to me if that makes sense.
"Would that make you happy?" haha
