Hi Alex. As a life time slicer of the ball, I must say this drill worked wonders for my game today. I made a video of my swing and was shocked at what I was seeing, so decided to implement this drill. I did it for about 15 mins yesterday and 15 mins prior to my round today. It is definitely work in progress but my slice was more controlled and I was achieving better distance and cleaner ball strike. Many thanks for this.

Such a great and simple tip. Really helped me today. Beginner golfer and have been struggling to keep arm straight and get the muscle memory, but didn’t want to buy a fancy elbow wrap. Thanks!

I think from personal experience the feeling of keeping "both" arms straight and tension free will give people the proper left arm structure.

Hi Alex love the channel, question: How do I hit a 3/5 wood off the fairway, I mean how to address the ball, ball placement..... I only hit it well if it's sitting nicely in the first cut of rough. Thx Martyn

Good little exercise to try. Another one I learned that's useful is to take a light resistance band under your feet and in your left hand then take your left arm back and thorough to about shoulder height both sides keeping your elbow straight. This helped me a lot after a serious knee injury which led to major knee surgery I had subconsciously trained myself while playing with the injury to protect my left side by never shifting my weight, breaking down my left arm in the follow through and kind of throwing my shoulder under and up to turn. Needless to say after I healed and tried to come back it really screwed up my swing. Hopefully these tips help people out with similar issues. Also its definitely worth your time to even get one lesson if you are having issues sometimes you just cannot see for yourself what your doing wrong.

I can't keep my left arm straight in my backswing Alex. I've had a tricep graft using a bit of my hamstring and I have a shoulder replacement although at the moment my rotator cuff is also torn. My elbow stays "soft".
For me because I can't keep it very straight I find waiting for the club to drop back into the slot using natural forces my arm becomes straight at that point.
    Does it effect my power....?
We had a long drive challenge on Tuesday at one of my clubs and I won with 404 yards. Next best was 331.
