discovering laufey’s song has been the most precious thing that happened to me. all her songs bring me so much emotion and love
one of the few artists who actually sounds better in person
So, she is a classically trained musician. Many classical musician cannot step out of playing from sheet music and stepping into creating music. She's really jazzing up those chords and she has an amazing voice! This performance is only an acoustic guitar and voice, which could be boring in the long run. But it's much more interesting than Adele. No disrespect to Adele, but her music is very formulaic and almost exclusively slow. I don't think that Adele's songwriters have ever written such a simple but at the same time intricate song. Really cool!
I love Adele as a person but cannot abide her music. This live version is sublime. It takes me places... the only place Adele's music takes me is a another cafe.

Not to step on her dreams but this song works a lot better as an acoustic. Such a lovely version!
I like both versions a lot but I'm quite shocked at how enjoyable this version is. The original sounds more dreamy but this one has a more raw, more expressed feeling to it.

@@crosselen9766 I believe that she has told us how much she loves playing with a symphony, and this song with the philharmonic is beyond great. However, she is a wonderful acoustic performer. Among the best I’ve heard. What she does special with her acoustics is to blend her lovely speaking voice with her equally beautiful singing voice. So, for me, it is a happy draw.
