Jessica always delivers powerhouse performances. Mama, Zero Dark Thirty, Miss Sloane, The Zookeeper's Wife and soon Molly's Game. She's just perfection.
I love the women's roundtable. There's a sense of unity and compassion. Where the men do feel competitive like another person said in an earlier comment. There's no desire to kill and destroy with Jessica, Jennifer and the others. Just heal and strengthen.
Interstellar too - not only one of the best movies of all time, but she’s literally the hero, a female scientist and KILLS that performance. Moves me to tears every time.
I always watch the women roundtable, because they're just more insightful then the men, in my opinion. They also have a different, more interesting point of view. (again, in my opinion.)

I wouldn't say they're more insightful than the men, it depends on the topic. But I wouldn't disagree that they have a more interesting point of view but again, it depends on the topic.

Even with all these sexual harassment allegations coming out, I'm not convinced that anything will change in Hollywood.
Yeah, the VERY delayed reaction by male actors and directors was telling. The onus should be put on them to change things since they're more powerful and they've been the ones abusing their power. But I guess being a good person is more fun when you get praised for it in public.
And tbh, a lot of actresses who came out against Weinstein (who did not personally accuse him) said that they all knew that he was a perv, so basically everyone knew about him, the actors, the actresses, producers etc and did nothing. It just goes to show that in Hollywoood, it's every person for themselves.

Remember how hostile the press was to Ambra Battilana when she accused Weinstein? She gained nothing from going to the police. Good people get screwed over for telling the truth.
Humans have a habit of attacking a problem in the moment, rather than trace it back to where it began and we are particularly good at this if it saves our own arse.

About the Matthew Newton issue: My theory is that Jessica was aware of his abusive past (producers are just not that oblivious in this day and age) yet somehow bought into his reformed, male feminist act. they could have talked about the movies more, they seem to have used this as an opportunity to ask these women all these questions about women in the industry, and less about the brilliant work they have produced this year. which in my opinion is counter intuitive, your asking them about sexism in hollywood instead of their work when you should really be asking the people that pay them, the producers and directors, and the actors they have to deal with. its like thr is still trying to pull focus from what they have achieved by asking them stupid questions about sexism, which in itself is a little sexist.

Jessica Chastain is physically beautiful, but intellectually and morally immature. Aaron is right in teaching his daughter to fight for herself. It's much more profound for women to learn to stand up for themselves rather than to teach all men to change for them. Stand up for yourself and see how people will treat you differently. Chastain, on the other hand, wants instead for people to treat her differently so that she can stand up. What a child.

Money talks in Hollywood... more than anything else, and by a long shot. Fame is always fleeting and under no one's control. Nevertheless, when you do have fame, it does give you more power as well. Most people seeing this video have no clue who Aaron Sorkin is, but surely know most, if not all, the women sitting at the table. Safe to say, there is more Hollywood power at this table than Aaron Sorkin could dream of having for himself throughout his career.
And the "creep" comment... I've witnessed women get turned on by the "hot" bad boy types saying the creepiest shit, and getting creeped out by the "regular" joe types for simply approaching them and asking for their name after introducing themselves. Give me a break! This whole conversation was demeaning to both men and women.
