- Here is your Combo Guide for E. Honda for Street Fighter 6 Season 2 / Year 2! Honda classic combos are still very much intact, but he's got a few new toys to play around with that you will probably find fun! Begin your journey of Sumo here and learn from the Duke of Dosukoi himself!
COMBO GUIDE AND NOTATIONS
LP = Light Punch
MP = Medium Punch
HP = Heavy Punch
LK = Light Kick
MK = Medium Kick
HK = Heavy Kick

Basic hitconfirms are 3x LP, or cr LK, 2x LP
From there your choices are
LP hands
MP headbutt if you have charge
HK buttslam if they are standing
Newly buffed Stand MP and crouch MK are now +6 on hit, +8 on CH, +10 on Punish Counter
from there you can
regular hit:
lp~mp, HP headbutt
cr. LP, mp headbutt
Counterhit:
mp, HP hands or headbutt
Punish Counter
MP, HP hands or headbutt

AFTER ANY STANCE LAUNCHER
Generally buttslam is the go-to especially after the season 2 buff to its knockdown.
drive rush HP, stance punches if you want damage and corner carry
or drive rush MP~stomp target combo into buff for best possible pressure at the cost of some meter.

Tried to get it done before Bison launch but well best laid plans and all that. Lots of SF6 on the channel this week coming up so hope you enjoy it!
Remember to make the Bisonopolis food court larger, all the big franchises will want in.

I always try to make videos the way I like to watch em. Combos I just like pure info so thats the way I do it. For the tekken starter guides I incorporated combos in the main vid cause it feels to make more sense in a 3d game where there's more "on the fly" combos and less fixed routes, but for the akuma guide I did it that way and it didnt feel right, so back to the old formula for SF anyways

well i did want it live for today(and the combo guide yesterday) but life gets in the way. So Bison week will happen and then ill get it pushed out after that. Nature of youtube is I gotta make the hot new toy a priority though, cause the honda vids def wont pull in the clicks the same way lol

after launching with 236k2p, dr5mp into hands instead of 5hp can avoid missing sa3, which usually hit harder.
I us to play e Honda an he was so fun to juggle with those unrelenting sumo chop strikes, but man the drive rush mp punished so good from such malice gigantic distance that was stellar I gotta admit. Looks like capcom are trying to buff most of the characters as possible by the time characters will release with each new season every year. What about mk now its time for them to buff all characters and give them some new movesets too. But wow this was surprising ehonda looks good now.
Thank you for making this, but Capcom is about to release Premium Honda.
I kno I'm late. But when I combo into buttslam I like to framekill using st.Lp, immediately after then cr.forward. if you get the CH then you can go into St.Hk or if no CH you can do the lp target combo.

I find Lily and Honda have similar game plans; long pokes, special in, create strike throw mixups.
Hibiki found some success in tournament play with Lily, what's holding Honda back? His season 2 changes seems just as strong if not better, what am I missing?
Honda new buff target combo is +13, honda can meaty 2hp, 2lp, light buff hands, 2lp into all sorts follow ups. Also his buttslam auto timed meaty 3hk into 5lp 5mp combo, mix it up with 3hk command grab (slightly delayed) and 3hk buttslam (dp baits) to torture the opponent.
Meaty 2hp is +6, 5lp mp heavy buff hands medium headbutt is 3005 damage, but it's not as good as 2hp 2lp 22p 214hp 2lp 2lp 28hk (2770 damage with nice oki, 22p forces standing)

I would like to add that EX hands is really really good. With buff, you get +6 on hit, without buff +4. This means you can do your hands combos even without the buff!
I think EX hands is often better than drive rush cancel to extend a 5MP combo, as the reward is similar. If they are standing (and they often are at max 5MP range), you can end in butt slam into oki, which is where Honda shines imo.
Anyway, great guide! Hope to see some more Honda content after the Bison stuff
