A bruise kit is an industry term for a makeup kit that is used to create bruises, not to cover them. She definitely slipped up. It would also explain why Amber’s bruises are always depicted on the right side of her face. When applying makeup it’s easier to apply on the same side as your dominant hand. Given that Johnny is right handed, if he beat her like she says he did, her bruises should have been on the left

I hope that men do take something from this whole trial, even if it’s the only single thing that comes out of this entire circus. I do believe that Amber and Johnny were definitely both crazy in their relationship. Amber having borderline personality disorder and being an actress is recipe for disaster in any relationship. I have a friend who struggles with BPD and she has had to go through so much therapy to help her cope with it. This is game, they are both actors, but how it will end - depends on those couple people in the jury

I've seen several judges straight up contempt a person for "speaking to the jury" in this way. Making eye contact with all of them, pleading through your eyes.
The height of hubris to think that's even viable. It's so disrespectful, not to mention they have all been prepped on these things.
She's desperate, but not for justice. She misread Johnny from the word go and thought he'd succumb to all this.
She is naïve to believe he'd even have a hard time of it, truth is easy to defend. All you have to do is uphold it, like Vasquez is doing. That's why she sounds like such a bad ass. She's excellent at upholding truth as a defense. (I'm not saying it's easy, she's a professional making it LOOK easy)
NOT TO MENTION the incredible disservice AH is providing all the women everywhere trying their best to be listened to and they just have another barrier to it because of the psychological effects of this girl.
I think the worst part is that she has almost certainly been SA'd but she's internalized it as payment for her status and thus doesn't even think it's a big deal when it happens to other women, no matter the context. I make this assertation based on her behaviors and priorities.

Law Schools absolutely teach this style of interruption by objection that Camille has perfected. The point is not to win the objection; even if the judge overrules the objection, it has already served its purpose, which is to rattle the witness testifying and throw off the narrative. It also implies to the jury that the testimony is flawed, again, even if the judge does not support the objections.

Can't speak for other law schools, but my law school didn't teach this. The most I ever got was a 20-minute lecture in Evidence about substantive objections vs. objections to the form - balancing the danger of objecting too much (e.g., alienating a jury or pissing off the judge) against the danger of objecting too little (e.g., waiver of grounds for appeal).
Law school is mostly theoretical and doesn't really teach much practical trial procedure anyway, unless a particular school has a special practicum program and those are only really useful in your last year. You learn practice lessons in actual practice, usually by working for another attorney, but sometimes just by trial and error.

There were reports, though I don't know if they have been confirmed yet, that a court reporter overheard "mum's friend" (Ms. Bredehoft) yelling "If you're not happy, you can f***ing represent yourself!" at Amber before the doors to a confidential chamber were closed. I’ve watched the whole trial neutrally so far and I’ve reached the same conclusion you have at this point. Definitely both were toxic to each other but Amber’s side just seems so orchestrated to fit her narrative while Johnny’s side is just letting the recordings and contradictions speak for themselves.
I do empathize with Johnny because I have been pushed to my utmost limits with rage with a toxic alcoholic partner. I felt the genuineness of trying to escape an argument in the house by going upstairs and shutting a door but being chased to any room to retreat to. Eventually I behaved in a manner so angry that I would throw things at the wall just because I couldn’t handle the lies and gaslighting that it was all my fault when I would confront them about hiding the amount they were drinking.

In fact, if anything, he's the abusive one as he threw a phone in my direction a few years ago and as I was sitting up, it hit the left side of my head and I had to get stitches. I'm grown enough to recognize an actual accident but if you think that's all he's done, you're crazy and so am I. Same here... only more so. The all-caps, click-baity titles on so many videos put me on alert of a lynching so I'm inclined to be wary about joining the mob but, god damn, AH seems to have lied a lot on this case:
Especially the claims of broken nose, black eyes and split lip the day before she appears on James Corden's show. Obviously bullshit. It's impossible to give her the benefit of the doubt on other claims with obvious lies like that. And I've not seen any evidence of JD abusing her. None of her friends can even testify to ever seeing him hit her or sexually assault her.
Except for the one psychologist saying she had PTSD (and even that psychologist agreed that she abused JD, and that psychologist seemed pretty incompetent compared to the other psychologist that said she's faking it and she's a narcissist), not one professional witness to him ever hitting her or sexually assaulting (as far as I can tell), yet she has claimed that repeatedly:attending police (the one time they were called?) say they saw no sign of violence. (And the anonomous 911 call in that case is extremely suspect: soon after AH called her divorce lawyer.)
There's the issue with photo forensics and her team dragging their heals and then failing to provide the raw data for the one piece of photo evidence she had (so that was likely faked or they would be keen to prove its legitimacy)
There's AH's own changing testimony both in this trial and in comparison to previous ones.
There's what appears to be terrible acting of pretending to be crying and then switching to matter of fact for the rest of the trial after she got slated for it in the media.
There's the mincing of words around hitting vs punching and pledging vs donating.
Every audio recording I've heard is about an incident of AH 'hitting' (or whatever she wants to call it) JD. Never the other way round. And those are her recordings.
And there's testimony she was cheating on him... a lot.
I'm not seeing anything like that from JD, his team or his witnesses. Just he took drugs sometimes (like she and her friends did) and got jealous of his cheating wife.
The only conclusion, like I say, I'm reluctant to be pulled towards by clickbaity titles and howling mobs, so if anything I would err on the other side, is that she was abusing him (verbally, emotionally and psychologically mostly but occasionally physically too). I've seen no evidence he ever abused her. She seems to have made it her mission to ruin him for a big divorce settlement and for public sympathy and probably revenge for something.

      @nathijomac Před 2 lety +2

@@CommissionerSleer Yeah, you have to be careful of the bandwagoning.
There's no definitive proof she's lying, but the evidence stacks up to suggest otherwise. She's obviously been documenting things, and every time you would expect some evidence to nail Johnny, surprisingly there isn't any. Obviously the absence of evidence isn't evidence to the contrary, but it just makes it all stink.
I keep going back to wondering if I'm wrong, then I hear the audio files and the deposition she was in years ago and she seems like a diff person to in this trial - feels really false.

Why didn’t she point out that she DOES know how it feels to be punched if she’s been punched before? I think the lawyer for Heard (Mom's friend) is dealing with a difficult client and doesn't trust her. Also, I think that "mom's friend" is doing her best with what she has to work with (bad facts, lies, etc). According to a panel of lawyers (Legal Bytes on CZcams) Heard paid $6M for her team.
According to some lawyers that have been in the court room, the jury isn't buying Heard's story. The jury is made up of 6 men and 3 women, mostly young people (20-30 y/o) with a couple of older people (50-60 y/o).
Depp has at least one Rebuttal witness left that is set to testify (don't know if it will be video deposition or live), but her last name is Howell. I think she is Heard's ex-boss (don't quote me on that). She should be very good for Depp because she has been harassed/intimidated (allegedly) by Heard's "people" or fans and she has knowledge of Heard's abuse of Depp. If memory serves, Heard sent her a text or email that said/acknowledged her behavior (again don't quote me on that because I have heard so much throughout this trial that things are running together). They don't usually hang around normal people that often. All the daily mundane chores like shopping and stuff is usually done for them by their staff. So naturally in the circles he hangs out in, be it at work or at a social event, the women will come from a similar background. Most of them will be models, or actors, or people working in this industry one way or another. I somehow doubt he gets to spend enough time with lawyers or any kind of educated/skilled professionals, to form a serious relationship with.
