Kashedi ghat I will tell you real experience, I was coming from lote parshram MIDC on a Bajaj scotter,I was to reach mahad were I was going to stay,till I reach khavti village on the foot hills of kashedi ghat the time was 7.30 pm, I saw a man waving hand at me for a lift, I stopped there and give him lift, before sitting on my scotter he plugged some long branches, I said him why he took that branches, he told in the ghat we might get jackels in between, I said ok, when we came in the middle of the ghat, in the scoter light I saw a man sitting in the middle of the road,with a big turben in his head and a long stick in his hand, the person sitting behind me asked me to stop, but said donot off scoter engines, I was confused, I told him can't you see a man sitting in the middle of the road, he asked me to piss from scotter, he did the same, and told me what you see is not a man but , different I told you are mad, but then suddenly that man sitting on the road stood up and went in the valley which was adjacent to the ghat road, I was amazed were did that man go suddenly, then I again drew the scotter droped that person in poladpur bus stand and went ahead to mahad, but still I suprise when I think the incident where would the man might have gone at night were no one was there in the ghat,no village, no light, what we saw was in the scooter head light.this incident occured in 1990.

I’m from ratnagiri and my native is on the foothills of kashedi, and trust me there isn’t any ghost , it’s just the accidents due to reckless driving or overtaking. People should avoid careless driving on this or any other ghats for that matter because most of the ghats in maharashtra have sharp hair pin turns and steep slopes with turns and blind spots , so just driving carefully there isn’t any ghost :)
