See the thing is tho if you play well enough on most maps you can pull no Inf support of but some maps no inf support means 100% death and pushing to far in their lines with no support equal certain death to! But let’s be honest most play outs tanks are only good to stop other armor and maybe a heli but inf is only secondary for a tank! I rather have the other armor fight that while I protect them from armor
@ltpetsema876 you mean only desert maps? And even then only like talil outskirts? Every other map has dense cities or dense forests you will be destroyed on. You may have had good experiences of soloing on certain maps but over all only tail and maybe mutaha are viable to solo

Typical tank crew. Driving around by themselves trying to hunt down enemy tanks instead of sticking with the infantry. Only to get ambushed by infantry and losing 15 tickets for the team.
Yep. Happens so often in Squad, I rarely even try and coordinate with armor nowadays. They're always no-mics anyways
@hewhoplugwalks Same in Squad44 where half the time armored squads are just bunch of guys in a clan-discord instead of using their in-game mics.

I mean this could’ve been avoided multiple different ways. Tank players should look at the map and play advantageously with terrain and off-point areas. The Leo is special, since it doesn’t have that nice RWS, but that thing is fast as hell. Better to play passively, waiting for the enemy tank to show themself, then go for a quick rack and then fall into a long range shelling role. Works the best for me and I play armor to a very high level on NA servers.
Yep, probably locked 2 man tank squad too.
thats why you need a comander (F3), because those things happen when you only play with gunner and driver.

We once defeated a Leo 2A6 tank on one middle east map i forgot the name .We used a T-72 tank ,the Syrian Armry lookalike one.In terms of armor lets say in terms of WarThunder😅,our tank was way worse than that Leo 2A6 but the Leo 2 crews were really incompetent they just stood on a high ground and cant see us properly while me fellow crew ,the gunner could see him .From the drivers port i cant really see the leo 2 though the gunner of our tank kept hitting him.I though we were finished for a sec when we first encountered the leo 2 cause i generally see leo 2s as a far superior tank than our T-72 S
In squad only M60 and T62 are bad the rest is all somewhat around the same level
@@nnakaudohno the leo is on the same level as the t62 and m60 aside from the impenetrable mantle it has no frontal armor and can easily be 2 shot ammo racked

I don't play squad, but this isn't the first time I see tanks thinking they can go "solo hunter mode". Is it that infanteers don't want to work with tanks or that tankers carry-on the cavalry tradition of being overly-cocky?
Most maps don't really allow infantry support (Being right next to infantry isn't ideal) therefore tanks usually go alone without any support
And most tankers like to go alone for whatever reason
most tankers just try to dip off without the infantry or they usually end up behind them coming to support the infantry but get caught in ambushes like these.
I suppose it's the latter

@@kerlowsc3397 they're a tankie making a "joke" about the Russian invasion of Ukraine (the current war.) The context is that the Ukrainians held up their counter offensive in 2023 waiting on western equipment to reinforce their divisions. Because they waited, the Russians had time to dig in along the line. The Ukrainians then attacked their hardened positions and gained some ground, but at an extreme lost of life and with a high equipment cost.
