I love how you said “if they need the eggs and the flowers that bad, then let them have them” I love your attitude on that.
We are getting ready to set up our own roadside farm stall and we are going to put a camera on ours but also make allowances for some losses in that regard. We are also going to do a free table / section for people who need something! I am going to start with free plants that we propagate from our property
If I opened a stand here in southeastern Kentucky, they would haul off everything, including the stand if they could! I’m not kidding. I put a rooster in a cage by the road with a sign, “free rooster, please leave the cage”. Haha, of course I never saw that cage again.

I love it! I think you’ll be surprised how honest people will be. And like you said if they really feel the need to take it then shame on them! I remember as a kid when I visited my grandparents in Lake Wales FL . We would go to a fruit stand and buy their honey and fruit baskets on the honor system. Great memories. I love it! We have a farm stand as well and we had the same issues with deliveries being left inside the stand. Though, we haven't had an issue with deliveries there since I put up a sign asking them to bring packages up to our home. - Renee

Hope your stand does well I hate to say it but nowadays there’s fewer and fewer honorable people anymore 😢 thanks for sharing you said fed ex tried to leave a package maybe hank should build a drop box beside it for packages and make it kinda like a mail Dropbox so nothing can be stolen very easily

How long can the eggs stay out for in the stand? I’m considering on starting one. & want to make sure my eggs are good quality and no salmonella issues
We actually discontinued selling eggs due to the States new requirements for egg storage. Has to be refrigerated now
Since I dont live in a hot climate, I am curious. At what point during your hot season, will the flowers cook/wilt/droop from being inside your black flower stand? Up here in the Northeast, it is a struggle during July and August to have a roadside stand that isnt in the shade.
It’s actually in the shade so I’ll be good with them sitting in water until August rolls around. Then it will be morning only😉

It works great for pick ups. Since I went to all “you pick” I don’t really use it a lot anymore.
I think Hank needs to stand out they're with only a speedo and a smile to see if that will attract customers probably not but we would get a good laugh out of it LOL
