- Hello making therian friends is really hard since therians are really rare and mis understood.
Its pretty dangerous and hard to find other therians so keep that in mind!

What ive also heard about is to wear your gear on carnival or halloween. Its a good idea but i recommend putting a therian sign on your mask to be extra.

My territory is near a dirt footpath, and a few weeks ago I was sitting near my den by the creek doing some vocals and quads. I was doing all my normal stuff and then I didn't notice a boy walking around the bend. When I finally noticed him he was standing there staring at me, and I felt kind of startled and awkward because usually I don't let anybody know I'm a therian. He waved, and I waved back, and he asked me to show him how I did my howl and my quads and said that I was amazing at it. I said Ok, and we sat there for like, 10 Minutes just practicing and laughing with each other. Then he had to leave, and sadly I never saw him again.
This will be a memory that I will never forget as a therian, and I wish more people could take the lead of this boy and just show some kindness to therians.

I personally wear a little bracelet that says “therian” on it, most people don’t notice or really don’t care. Since most people don’t know about therians, I believe if you wear little accessories that only therians will most likely know about could help you find some therians (like it said in the video).

hey, please dont discourage ppl from wearing gear in public!! of course, it should be done safely (only do it in very public environments, where there are a lot of ppl around, and its good to have a friend with you), but it can be really fun!! it is good to warn ppl that they might get weird looks or ppl might say weird things, or you might get filmed, but personally, i dont really mind that, and ive worn my gear in public a lot, and never had any major issues.
posting your state/city online also is a good way to find therians, and safe, cause there's thousands of people in even the smallest cities, so there's no way someone will just be able to find you. just dont post your address.
also, please dont call therians 'rare'. we're not pokemon, theres no way to know how many therians there are, cause some arent awakened, and some prefer not to tell anyone, which is fine ofc. calling therians rare is just kinda weird tho, tbh.
this is not meant in a mean way, i really like the necklace idea, and videos like this can really help therians, but only if done in the right way. pls do some more research next time!! :3
I did do tons of research. And i myself live in a place where there are kids that could film you. Therians are indeed not common though. There are many people in the world. Therians only make a very very small percentage of that. People can be unaware of kids or people that would want to film you. Posting abt ur state and city rl depends on where u live and how big it is. What i mean by therians being rare is def not abt pokemon. What i mean is there are very little therians in this world compared on how many humans live here.
But yeah i myself im not a big fan of this vid and want to make a new one.
Plus if u want to find local therians its beter to look up any therians --- if ur a bit older bc you can get actuall huge therian meets

Absolutely not. I find that a lot of therians are minors. It’s best to err on the side of caution and never reveal where you live. You put something on the internet, it never goes away. We need to teach minors internet safety!
I was at school and I had a therian sign on my hand and a kid saw it and said "You're a therian? I am too!" Then we became friends.

I am an Ocelot therian, And I Caught one of my classmates doing quads once, and even DRAWING FURRIES!! So, I got the strength to Ask them if they were a therian ( Which is a bad idea) And they were not a therian, But Infact a Furry who likes quads, But its still really cool! Were very good friends now :D

y'all I awakened in Feb 2023. In April 2024, I told my lifelong best friend. Shes one too! We've been friends since we were born and this information is crazy to both of us. We now do quads together, and there's a park nearby with a HUGE forest behind it. The rocks are giant and they hang over the rest of the forest, kind of like a loft made out of just rocks. It's our go-to, and I couldn't be more grateful to have a friend like her. 💗
Cool!! I think there is actually a label for that called otherpaw which means a person who strongly identifies *with* one or multiple animals but not as them. Like for instance I might wear gear and do quads and vocals but I don't identify as a raccoon. Strongly identifying with the animal means relating to it a lot in everyday life. Basically for anyone who wants to join the therian community but obviously cant or doesnt want to identify as an animal. Its fully optional to use the label though.

TIP: If you do use the therian sign. do not make a big deal if someone says ''omg its satans sign!!" ignore hate. they want a reaction. they are insecure and boost the algorithm actually if they comment.

Another tip!
I like to use some gloves I have, wich have a paw pads on them, to both express that I´m a furry and a therian. Most people won´t think a lot abt it, but therians or furries might keep an eye on it.
If they ask you why you´re using it, simply respond with "I like them" or "It´s kinda cold today" or something else.
It´s a quiet but noticeable way of showing that you´re a therian\ furry!
Another thing, if someone asks why you have asks about the mark on your hand that is really the therian mark just say "oh this, it's from Harry potter, deathly sign i forgot what it's called" I've done this before so

3. Set up a duo meeting with any therian clients that may exist

Advice on how to meet online therians SAFELY:
Just a point of view from someone whose been stalked, lives in a dangerous area for anyone (even people who don't stand out from a crowd, as there's a lot of violence in my town), studied the psychology and habits of criminal stalkers and how the internet is their biggest tool, and I've met up with a few people online and fully agree using an online presence to find friends is a good thing. Just need to be safe :3
That said, public comments are NOT safe places to state any personal information including vague mentions to location. I've been found three times by people with malicious intentions from my art socials and Instagram, and the fact they used nothing but a state and my content (which I'm always careful with) to send me my own address was HORRIFYING! Big scary. Freaking gross. Didn't sleep that night.
Therians, furries, and LGBTQ+ people are sadly targets by some really creepy, dangerous people. But that's okay, because we're smarter✨ just advertise that you're looking to meet local therians and ask to move details shared to dms ONLY after talking for at least three days online. Go over profiles and make sure they seem legit. Talk about boundaries and what you expect out of meeting someone online. And of course, meet in groups and public spaces, have your location turned on for your family and friends just in case, and don't get in anyone's car because they seemed alright after a few hours. I did that too...had to kick a guy in the face in his own truck after he wouldn't take me back to my car and got handsy.
Meeting therians online is a great idea. Just know that stalkers can find you even without posting info sometimes. If you go out in gear, just know what areas have high crime rates and check for posted offenders living nearby. If someone films, keep your masks on and don't use your names. Most importantly (and surprisingly fun!) MAKE ESCAPE PLANS! It's always good to know how you're getting out when panic could make you freeze. Plan with your friends how you'd escape the area and get to safety if someone approached. I do this with my besty on trails and we end up looking around for short cuts, finding obstacles we could get around fast, and water to cross/where these places lead.
I have been in SO. MUCH. DANGER.
Please PLEASE take this advice.
Also important, FACE TIME, VIDEO CHAT, IDENTITY CONFIRMING PICTURES. Never meet someone without both speaking over a video call. If they refuse to show their face, that's not safe. Doesn't matter the reason. If someone wants to meet you and won't show their face before hand, that's very sketch. Run. I don't care if they're nice, or have a good excuse, or their friends added you and seem normal. DON'T. EVEN. THINK ABOUT IT.
Okay and that's how not to get kidnapped from someone who's already done all the wrong things ✨💛✨

Honestly before i saw this comment i met my bestie online somehow following all these tips, now its been a healthy friendship for 4 or 5 months and weve been face timing, playing roblox, etc, we sadly cant meet irl, YET! I have another tip:-the therian mark-if your ever in a store , (make sure you have a sticky note),go to pet aisle or arts and crafts aisle, draw the the Therian sign and stick it somewhere (make sure it’s hidden so workers don’t throw it away) , check it so see if there’s anything added to it.(I suggest to to do both aisles incase they go to one of them.)(there is chance that they will still be in the store)

aa I think your just doing quadrophobics? (this is not hate just spreading information) but being a therian is identitying as an animal spiritually, mentally, etc.An example would be for me I believe that I have the wrong body, kinds like im trapped in another body snd i can't escaoe rlly ig.A lot of misinformation is spread on TikTok and stuff that a therian is someone who wears gear or something but I'm a therian and I don't wear gear or do quads as they are only a way some people use to connect to their theriotype. But uh yeah just a note that a therian is not someone who just walks on all fours and wears animal masks and stuff.

My small neighborhood with only 10 houses is filled with a bunch of kind elderly people, some crazy suburban white boys, and a exorcist demon kid that lives next door to me.
i live in a very racist, unaccepting town and go to a school thats the same, so i doubt ill be able to find any therian friends nearby but i always try and wear my gear in public where i can and go to public parks to do quads and stuff often so hopefully i might find someone! im getting my first tail soon so that will make things more easy for me than just wearing my masks everywhere

I customized some shoes to resemble paws and have the therian and otherkin symbol on them, this can also help you find other therians/otherkin

Not long ago I went to a ice skating rink and I was wearing a tail, and I saw someone else with a tail, and finally got the courage to ask them if they wanted to be friends- one of them is a therian and one of them is a furry, and we are now friends thankfully x3

i remember going to an amusement park for my birthday, my birthday is in october so there was a scare fest in the theme park and lots of people were dressed up. I saw one or two people with masks on that many therians wear and i wish i wore a mask… Or at least just talked to them. I wish i brought something to resemble therianthropy because i’m so desperate to have a therian friend.
Sadly i don’t actually have masks or gear because i’m a shrimp therian, I’m not a mammal or reptile. So IDK what i would do tbh.

I think it would be almost impossible in my country, since I'm Latina, I mean, I'm from Costa Rica and I don't think they find therians here.

A tip for getting tails!!! Tell either a parent, grandparent, Aunt, uncle,guardian, etc that you saw a cool fashion style of clipping a tail to your purse /backpack and you really want one of those 'keychains' .
Its how I got mine!!!
XD i made my own tail and call it a keychain, but my parents dont know cuz i havent tell them yet (its hard to tell 'em cus my parents r asianically strict lol help)

All I had to do to find a therian in my country was look in the comment section of a french therian and I saw a girl commenting and apologizing bc of her french since she's arab. I checked her vids and she was indeed arab. So we followed each other and we're friends!

Well i did mine accidentally dangerous bc the other dsy i was in the park doing my vocals and a group of teenagers came up to me and started laughing at me but that was when they were my age and one of them said “ STOP! Im just like her!” So them they rejected her ( fake friends) and we became besties =D

theres this kid i used to be friends with in middle school and they told me they might identify as a therian and we were separated for like a year but now we're in highschool together and i really want to talk to them abt it because im desperate for therian friends- do you have any ideas for this? >_
Wel u can ask them about that moment and if they say they might have bin therian then they wil br supportive if they might be fake or just know how it feels and what it is

Before reading remember I am trying to get away from an emotionally abusive friend that is not a therian. Ok so there is this girl at my school and we confirmed with each other we are therians. She hangs out with another girl which I kind of know. I want to become friends with the other therian but idk how. I see her at study hall and I was thinking of asking if I could sit with her and her friends at lunch but I don’t want to be weird or awkward. I am also scared she will think the only reason I want to be friends is because she is a therian, I do want a therian friend but that is not the only reason! What do I do help 😢

My old class didnt know about Therians and i also didnt know... but they accept my shifts and animal side

Around where i live there is none and are people who will bully for it. (all my friends find Quads/being a therian cringe, so theyre no safe to ask. I asked subtly about opinions.)
Ive sorta become desprate to find some, and i had worn a simbol i painted on a badge but someone (not allay on this topjc) was asking about it (basically just escalated to them trying to imadge search it with a photo.), i also looked fir discord servers ect but- yeah thay didnt work out and was ALOT of drama.
