Absolutely the best Cult area, 1986. Look how great Jamie looks, with the best haircut i have ever seen. Great bassplayer, certainly if you listen to the live shows of 1986. Ian initially got my attention but Jamie came to be my favorite member - just how he is as a person - so fundamentally decent. I have their Pinkpop show on cd - my favorite live versions of Love and Electric Ocean.

Wow was that chick interviewing them rude and annoying!!! Why do they ask such ignorant and rude questions. I'm glad Ian just walked away! Ian grew up in Canada when he was a kid. He became well entrenched in North American Indian culture and his friends were Indian kids. His dad was a merchant marine and thats why Ian was living in Canada. Parts of this culture and lifestyle and imagery comes through in their art or used to anyway. So there ya have it. PEACE

Meaning East Indian food, being from the Midlands were curry and Indian food is well known. Everyone loves curry’s, like Ian. The interviewer didn’t get that, she thought they meant ‘Indonesian food’. Rather than be rude, they just made a joke about it. That’s why Ian gave the ‘peace’ sign, and let Jamie talk. But curry is great!
