Nigel actually did have a car crash on the way to the video, managing to turn a Mini, I think it was, over on a roundabout in West London! Regardless of contributing factors I think it's a shame when people just look for a lowest common denominator (i.e.'smackhead'), especially when Nigel was such a genuine, friendly guy -excellent drummer too of course!
The Doors? Really? Don't get me wrong, I realize that the band was allowing for their appreciation of sixties rock to color their sound but as a fan of both bands I don't hear it. Just lazy work on the part of the interviewer in my humble opinion.

Since Sonic Temple when Jamie Stewart left they have become mono tone, bland, boring, mediocre, and talentless. 1986 Love tour was great and 30 year tour was great as Jamie and Nigel came out and did Sanctuary and Love with them. But the Cults just got nothing in tbem anymore. Washed up old has been and finished.
