    2022 and still loving this era. The Love album still sounds fresh.

    RIP Nigel Preston, incredible drummer and a great guy by most accounts

    Funny, free falling interview location. On the edge of a ledge with the now legendary. Obviously no fear of heights - the physical and the musical.

      Re: the interview and just to clarify your position here as I am confused. Is it that you could care less - or you couldn't care less? So is it that you do care about the interview however you would like to care less about it? Or is it that you don't care about the video to such an extent that's it practically and realistically impossible to care any less about it? So that ultimately the bottom line is that you really could not care less about it? So really what you you meant to write was I couldn't care less about the interview. Right?

    3:10 - Nigel Preston's "car crash" is code for being a smackhead

    • @TomTremayne
      @TomTremayne Před 6 lety +13

      Nigel actually did have a car crash on the way to the video, managing to turn a Mini, I think it was, over on a roundabout in West London! Regardless of contributing factors I think it's a shame when people just look for a lowest common denominator (i.e.'smackhead'), especially when Nigel was such a genuine, friendly guy -excellent drummer too of course!

      I thought the actual story was that Nigel was arrested for armed robbery, he still was the best drummer the Cult ever had 🙌

    The Doors? Really? Don't get me wrong, I realize that the band was allowing for their appreciation of sixties rock to color their sound but as a fan of both bands I don't hear it. Just lazy work on the part of the interviewer in my humble opinion.

      Agreed. I only "see" Jim's influence on Ian, but that is about it.

    When they were actually a band with Nigel and Jamie Stewart. Not like the crap they are today Ian and Billy with hired guns. Since Sonic Temple when Jamie Stewart left they have become mono tone, bland, boring, mediocre, and talentless. 1986 Love tour was great and 30 year tour was great as Jamie and Nigel came out and did Sanctuary and Love with them. But the Cults just got nothing in tbem anymore. Washed up old has been and finished.

      You have absolutely no clue. The Cult have been and are Ian and Billy from day 1. Preston was an addict who lost his life to addiction. Stewart left the band on his own accord in 1990. Stop living in the past. You're out of your mind if you think Nigel and Stewart made the band. LMFAO! Their new album drops this October '22

      @@ericrincon545 Did Peel have a clue, because he had the same opinion of the band's music after they shortened the name. i.e after 1983.

      @@krasteff So he only liked them for about 6 months, almost 40 years ago? Why does that matter if he did? Do you only listen to music John Peel likes?
