    I don't know if your church has an organ or just a piano, but if they do have one, that might be one of only a few places where the toddler might get to hear that instrument. When it's time to sing hymns, the child can listen for that instrument and maybe they'll begin to recognize it as they go to service more. They may begin to look forward to listening to the hymns the congregation sings in the future because of that and maybe one Sunday, the parent can discuss the instrument after a few church visits. I did not go to a traditional church until I was 5 years old, I associated hymns with snuggling with Mom at night because she would sing them every night. But the church we were going to sang modern praise and worship songs.

    Thank you so much for these ideas! We have 3 children ages 3 and under (soon to be 4) and I have struggled finding training tips for very young children. I like the balance of allowing a few toys/books rather than expecting little energetic bodies and busy minds to sit still with none at all. Thank you!

      I had nine children, six in a row so I know where you are!
      Look on the channel for more that might help and I’m here if you have any questions!

    I like to check out churches. I would only like to know which one you go to so I can check it out online? I also like traditional churches that sing hymns. I'm not asking about personal information, just the church because I like to check out churches online everywhere. And I have enjoyed several of your videos.

    My pastor and his wife taught their rowdy twin girls to be quiet by letting them know that if they are not quiet for an hour in church they will have to sit in a chair and be quiet for an hour at home after church. Very effective!

      Well…not sure that would be my recommendation. That would be a struggle at home for the parents too.
      It’s better to train them at home to sit quietly every day for about an hour on a blanket--which I do recommend. 😃then it’s a normal thing that they are used to.

    We have a son who just turned 3 - it’s not too late to do blanket training with him right? Also, how do you recommend doing blanket training when you have multiple toddlers? We also have a 17 month old son (and a 6 week old son who of course doesn’t need blanket training yet!).

    • @MommyAnswerLady
      @MommyAnswerLady  Před rokem

      Thank you for asking. A 3 year old can learn to stay on the blanket, but he will understand your words from the start.
      If he gets off after you have told him, more than a little flick on the hand would be needed. But, if he should do great!
      Train them on separate blankets for sure they each need their space. Lmk if you have any more questions. 😊

      @@blackriflehomesteadplease don’t do this with your child!!! I highly recommend the book “No Drama Discipline” to learn appropriate methods without damaging your child’s self esteem.
