The 70's was a horror show in terms of music in the USA. John Denver, Karen Carpenter and Disco.
@@willchristie2650The 70s were maybe not the best period in the history of music, but choosing to use as an example one of the best female singers of all time was never likely to make the argument more convincing in my humble opinion. Karen Carpenter's voice had the magic and beaury that most rock and pop stars-of any era-could only dream of having.
