  • Jay Williams joins Ryan Smith to reflect on the NBA career of Vince Carter, who spent 22 seasons in the league with the Toronto Raptors, New Jersey Nets, Orlando Magic and more; whose 2000 NBA Slam Dunk Contest performance is considered one of the best of all time; and who will soon be a candidate for the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

Pierce was on a playoff clippers team as a bench warmer so his last official game I don’t think he played but he at least had a final game moment in TD garden. And KG got injured early in his final season so that’s why he didn’t have a final game moment. All I’m saying is Vince has been a perennial all star for the first half of his career and played the last 12 years as an affective role player who adapted his game to the modern era. He was the rock that dropped in lake Toronto ( Tristan Thompson, Fred Van Vleet (?). NBA Players from Canada if u didn’t know.)

It's funny how people keep saying he's a dunker but he's also like on the top of all-time greater shooters of all time too it's look at the list he could shoot too plus he was a superstar when he was with the nets for a few years and he was a superstar with the raptors so that's got to give him some type of credit and he played 22 seasons That's unheard of for a person like that to be doing what he was doing and he's not nearly as in shape like how LeBron is and he was able to do 22 seasons

Oh course vince is a hall of famer, how is this even a question, it’s the basketball hall of fame not the NBA hall of fame people tend to forget that, he is a multiple time all star and all -nba, Olympic gold medalist, not too mention his impact on the globalization of game. Vince inspired so many kids in Canada to play basketball. He might have underachieved a little bit in terms of not winning a championship but he did not have the talent around him. if Yao Ming and Tracy Mcgrady got in then Vince will definitely get in.
