      Yao is in there because of "international impact". Basically, he's Chinese and the NBA wants to capitalize on that market, so they let him in to increase the popularity of the game over there. Derrick Rose is not an international player, so you cannot compare the two.
      T-Mac made it because of his longevity. T-Mac sustained a high level of offensive output for several seasons before he got injured. His numbers are significantly more impressive than D-Rose's though he did not experience as much playoff success. Hall of Fame induction is more predicated on numbers than, non-championship playoff success.
      D-Rose is more comparable to Penny Hardaway, who was a great player, but is not in the Hall of fame due to lack of longevity. They have similar numbers and similar playoff success. D-Rose's only viable argument is that he won an MVP award.
      I personally think he deserves to get in based off of his talent alone. I think he would be a top 5 player today and top 20 all time had he never gotten injured.

    of course I would want rose to make it but like other people are saying getting into the hall-of fame requires you to have a great career not to just win a ring or one mvp.
    like T-mac said anyone can win a ring looks at all the bums on the warriors that have rings because of Steph durant klay draymand but not everyone can make it to the hall of fame to make it I would say you have to at-least have 5 great years in your career you don't have to be great in you whole career but minimum at least five yers.

    • @solcreate490
      @solcreate490 Před 4 lety

      Dwight shouldn't make the HOF unless he returns to 2009 form and performs that way for another half-decade.
      D-Rose should only make the HOF if he can return to a star presence for something like 5 years from this point on.
      Fat chance. Luckily the HOF is a joke right now, so they may make it anyway.

    • @solcreate490
      @solcreate490 Před 4 lety

      @Michael Hart Howard had essentially a five-year prime, when considering offense and defense.
      When his back started to rob him of his athleticism, he dropped off fast.
      He always lacked any notable post-game offensively, and his prime didn't last long enough to justify a hall nod. If we pretend that the Hall of Fame isn't largely a joke in it's easy selection process.
      The idea that what I'm saying is outlandish is asinine on your part.
