Having seen this movie about 350 times, I can tell you that this man, "Leon Robinson," AKA "Leon" is one of the most fantastic actors walking the face of the earth. There was much talent in that movie but when you watch Leon playing David, it is extremely difficult to believe that Leon is NOT David. This is the sign of a great actor. Yes, I have admitted to Otis that I watched the movie 350 times. :)
And at his age he is still fine! And I'm 20 something years younger than he.
Robert Townsend is so kind, that was really great that he was trying to help David Ruffin. I always imagined if David and Marvin had lived longer what they would have done. I admire Robert Townsend for his generosity and hard work.
