Love my KLR dash.Have had it on for years, well worth the price, very well made! This product has improved my riding experience.Haven't had any problems with rubbing,or metal hitting my mirrors,0 problems, easy to take apart and put back together.recently took dash apart to change one headlight no problems.I plan on making my own windshield in the future.

Thanks for the review. What windshield did you install?

It was a factory Kawasaki 4" taller if I remember correctly. Might be linked in the description.

They should have made a capping that presses on the sheild at the bottom, they look crappy with the cutouts for the fairing showing.

I just bought a length of 13mm pinch weld and put it along the bottom. No need to trim the screen. Finished it off nicely.

Nice video, the only Issue I see is the wind shield is open at the bottom of the fairing. The back of the dash stand so tall. That whatever comes under the windshield get stuck. On the back of the dash or on the domed plate under the windshield. Bugs, dust, sand, Water (rain), Mud and so on. Cleaning is pain, but what happens to the Water (rain) that runs back of the dash?

Gordy Silver never thought about that. Makes sense. I only had it in rain once I believe. Monsoon so the bike was clean 🤣

I'm about to install this dash when it arrives.. I'm thinking of going to lowes to find a rubber strip to seal that area off.

Does this protect you from hitting the windshield in a hard landing while standing ?

It sits much further forward and the wind screen is tiltable so I imagine it could help. It does add a bunch of metal weight to the plastic fairing, so keep that in mind for cracking if your stuff gets pounded a lot.

@@JohnHowerton137 he bought a knockoff. Unknowingly is my guess, but a knock of just the same. And yes, I put this dash on my KLR.

I love how people say, it’s too expensive, and then I can do it myself, BUT. That’s what it’s expensive. Cause you can’t and won’t do it. And don’t have to run a business to make it available to the public. You say “its Just Two metal brackets” and yet you have no idea how or can do yourself and didn’t think of it.

Dude I've been a small business consultant for 23 years. I understand perfectly. Sometimes buying something because it isn't worth your time is necessary. Doesn't mean it isn't overpriced or easily made if you have the time and/or place to do it.
