Special Steam engine Locomotive operation of Newport Open Days 2024, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia!

The Newport Workshop Open Days is Victoria's leading rolling stock works, which is usually open to the public over three weekends in March each year. Newport Workshop has been manufacturing and maintaining Victoria's rolling stock since 1889, It is also currently home to Steam Rail, an organisation with over 30 preserved rolling stock.
One of the main attractions of the Newport Workshop Open Day is a steam locomotive drive on the premises. This is planned in considerable detail, including running with coupled wagons, double headers and photographing the locomotives side by side.
