Ran into him at our local Taco joint a couple years ago. I just went up to him said what's up and gave him a fist bump. He replied back with "hey man" and a big smile like we were old friends. Didn't even feel like he was a celebrity or worried about people seeing him. Just a regular dude waiting for his taco's. 😎

Anybody who lives in Palm Beach County has a story of meeting Rob. He lives like a local and he is respected as a local. He goes to the regular breakfast and lunch spots when he is in town. He sits down and eats and people drop by and say hi and keep it moving.
The guy is the most patient celebrity I've ever seen. I haven't ever heard ANYBODY say he was rude or didn't take a second to say hello. NEVER.
And above and beyond all of that he is a HUGE supporter of our local schools, especially the schools focused on the arts. He judges their versions of awards shows and he donates money. He never toots his own horn but he definitely remembers the days when he was a hungry artist and he pays it forward.
Met him at Dade city raceway back when I was 15 (44 now). Super down to earth guy and didn’t mind some teenage kid wanting to talk his head off before and in between each race. Was a HUGE fan back before meeting him.
Thanks a million IceMan. Made my day back then, and meant a lot to me. Happy you’re doing well.
Always seems like a nice person. Even with all the hate he catches he just laughs it off and enjoys life. Kudos to him.

My 29yr old son loves this shit! Even though he became a paraplegic because of it. Still rides on a video game that he races in and builds tracks and designs and sells gear in this way. Hook him up.

I met Rob at a track in Forida .He said hi im Rob . Later that night my buddy said that was Vanilla Ice i was like noway he was super chill great guy .
I remember an old interview with him when randomly half way through this sit down interview he said “let’s go ride” -and he meant RIGHT NOW😂He jumped on one of his bikes and the camera crew had to follow him in a car as he rode in the ditch along side a highway and he was jumping entire roads from the ditch. Completely illegal 😂 It was totally wild.
This is great to watch👍 luckily I grew up in the same era and I still remember the day when good old Vanilla Ice came out on cassette tape. Mom and Dad rush me down to the local Warehouse😂music...... and I lived in Lake Elsinore through my teenage years. Was just telling my nephew the other day about Robert's real name. He had no idea. I met him at Lake Havasu in '95 at the jetski World Finals. I got a picture with him and Victor Sheldon at Body beach. He was just hanging out like everyone else. A couple days later we were at Kokomos bar. I was sitting at the bar with some friends. He came to the bar and ordered a drink, looked at me, and started talking to me. He remembered me from the beach. He asked if I was going to body beach the next day . I said ya, and he said I'll see ya there. My buddies were looking at me like how the hell do you know VI. He's totally down to earth kind of guy, just loving life.
We need more people like him.....just a happy camper.

My neighbor in Wellington. He was a little douchy back in the day but he made some cash! Hahahaha. So I don't blame him. The song was big and cool for a while. My old next door neighbor is a high end wallpaper guy. He only works in million dollar homes. He knows him and said he is a great guy. So that is good enough for me. I started riding in the 70s, so anybody that rides is cool.
I just remembered something, I carried it around with me to show everyone I had it lol, great times, I’m 47 and still a great memory, I should be saying thank you.
