    Introducing the Honeywell Top Fill Warm Mist humidifier.
    The top fill design makes filling easy and the large water tank will run up to 24 hours between fillings.
    Water enters a boiling chamber where it is heated to a steam vapor, producing warm mist to help create a comfortable breathing environment.
    Press the moisture output icon to change between high and low moisture output.
    Adjust the humidity control buttons to set the desired level for personal comfort.
    When the set humidity level is reached, the humidifier will turn off and the Humidity Reached icon will turn on.
    To find your personal comfort level, run the humidifier on the highest setting until a comfortable level is reached. Then adjust the humidity control down, allowing 3 seconds between settings, until the humidifier turns off.
    It may take up to one minute for the water to boil and steam to appear.
    The unit will automatically turn off when the humidifier runs out of water and a reset light will turn on to indicate that the tank needs to be refilled.
    To reset, turn the humidifier off and refill the reservoir. Wait 5 minutes for the heating element to cool, then turn back on.
    An essential oil cup can be used with your favorite oils for added enjoyment. The oil is passively evaporated into the air. Never add oils directly to the water.
    For soothing relief from dry air discomforts, try the Honeywell Top Fill Warm Mist humidifier.

    My reset light keeps coming on even after cleaning/ descaling/ & water refill. I’m absolutely annoyed as this is not even a year old.

      Hey Leslie. Based on your description, we would recommend resetting the light by turning the power off. Next, refill and replace the water tank. Wait 5 minutes, then turn the power on. We hope these instructions are helpful! If you require additional assistance, please email us at SocialSupport@helenoftroy.com.

    After I reset/let it cool down and refill it when the water runs out, does the humidity level setting stay where i set it or do I have to do the steps at 0:30 again?
    That's what annoys me about my old HWM-340 humidifer. I have to turn the dial all the way clockwise after I refill it, and if I don't turn it counterclockwise after it starts making steam the red light turns on

    That heating element is impossible to clean. I've soaked it in white vinegar overnight, tried CLR. Nothing gets the lime off. I've tried scraping it off with a knife but you can't get to it well enough. And once the heating element is caked with lime, it quits working.

    • @honeywellpluggedin9834
      @honeywellpluggedin9834  Před 2 lety

      Please be advised, we do not recommend using CLR or a knife to descale the heating element. We only advise using undiluted distilled white vinegar for descaling, as outlined in the owner's manual. After soaking the heating element in vinegar, we recommend to use a soft bristled brush, such as a toothbrush, to remove the mineral buildup. If you require additional assistance, please email us at SocialSupport@helenoftroy.com.

      How long does it take for the buildup to become significant ? Would distilled water make a difference ?

    • @whatsyours6059
      @whatsyours6059 Před 2 lety +1

      @@easilyscan it will depend a lot on the mineral content of your water. There's lots of limestone in the aquifers here so after about a week of continuous running mine shuts off and wont run again until I get some of the scale off. Muriatic acid is the only thing I've found that will dissolve the lime but that stuff is dangerous so follow the instructions. Or try white vinegar first, it might work for you. And for sure distilled water solves the problem if you don't mind the hassle and expense.

      Thanks for the reply. Distilled water would be a bit of a hassle, but it looks like I can get it in my area for around a dollar a gallon, & the only time I'd need to use the humidifier is winter nights when the temperature goes under 20°

    The video states that once the preferred humidity level is reached, the unit will shut off. Does it come back on automatically when the humidity level goes below that amount ? What's the model number of the unit reviewed ?
    Thanks!

      Hey Steve. We can confirm that once the humidity level is reached, the unit will shut off. When the humidity level in the room drops below the desired humidity level set, the unit will turn on and continue to product output. The model number for this humidifier is HWM445 series. The fact that the vent on the back of the unit is LOWER than the MAX mark on the filler inlet means that water will flood out the back if you fill to the mark.
    The video shows filling only once the unit has boiled dry with a presumably pre-measured 1½ gallons.
    But most people will want to top up BEFORE the unit boils dry. So how are you supposed to know how much water is already in there?
    There's no window, and filling to the MAX mark means a guaranteed flood.
    Very poor design.

    • @honeywellpluggedin9834
      @honeywellpluggedin9834  Před rokem

      We would not expect this humidifier to leak water due to the location of the max fill line. Also, to clarify, if you prefer to refill the humidifier before the humidifier runs out of water, we would advise to power the unit off and wait 5 minutes for the heating element to cool. Then, you may refill the water reservoir to the max fill line. If you require additional assistance, please reach out to us by emailing SocialSupport@helenoftroy.com.

      @hansimgluck4965 Před rokem

      @@honeywellpluggedin9834 Thanks - again, because the MAX fill line is HIGHER than the bottom edge of the rear vent grille, water will pour out of that rear grille if you fill to the MAX line, no matter how long the unit is left to cool off.
      Try it and you'll see.

    • @Sds0071

      @hansimgluck4965 The vent is in a separate chamber from where you fill the water, the water won't reach the vent
