I love as we silent jesters come here to find comfort in these talking notes and mirror lyrics, is like I can sense all In Flames fans aura on myself Son Goku style, above the cold technical reviewers and critics, silent respectful listeners facing somewhere the same life problems, moments and philosophy, but we don't want to give up because we know It's for us to decide if flames will reach heaven tonight. I don't know any of you, I will probably never meet any of you but somehow I know we are the same and connected.
every In Flames album is connected to different memories of my life from when I listened to a new record non-stop. In Flames is my favorite band next to Children of Bodom and they each release a new album every two years filling the gap from the respective other band. In my memories my whole life is connected to my favorite music. Siren Charms has the worst memories attached to it and Sounds of a Playground Fading and CoBs I Worship Chaos remimnd me of my most joyful years.
The "Battles"-year has started great so far and CoB just announced their 2017-album. Let's hope for a happy year^^

This was a shocking revelation to say the least.XD I feel like I heard this kind of song before...at least 20 times. Not hating......this is some extreeeme change of style right here.XD

For real, awesome reinvention multiple times, early in flames, clayman to soundtrack, come clarity to sounds of a playground fading, siren charms was definitely a real big turn, not their best, but still love that album, and battles to forgone, with forgone being the best record they’ve had since sounds of a playground, and what’s cool is a lot of old in flames fans seems to agree

Well the main riff is bad ass at least...
Chorus riff, chorus vocals best parts. People that don’t like newer in flames obviously because of his clean singing, but that’s I why like it more, Anders voice fuckin awesome and gotten me pretty emotional at times, on top of that, wow, what a poet. Best lyrics iv heard since Kurt cobain/layne Staley, n I love old in flames to, but truth is, best things in bands to a lot of people are the melodies they create with clean vocals, I love, and respect screaming and gutteral, and to people who say that don’t take skill, are just not in the know, but takes a lot of skill, and techniques so you don’t tear your voice up, Burton from fear factory (other favorite band) wish he’d have known of these, but when that artists finds the right melody, especially for an awesome chorus, it’s really the best to me in music, I play a lot of instruments so I look at things differently than a lot of people (not to say I’m better, and of course, music is subjective, that’s my you say MY favorite band in the world and not THE best because not person is right about what is completely good and bad, but if you really connect, and know how they come to think of and create these formulas because IT IS NOT easy to come up with a great, catchy melody, let alone the lyrics being great to, to me IN FLAMES should be known like by every one, like how Kanye west is, and it’s sad they are not, and I’m not hating on Kanye, don’t care for rap or things like that, but I understand, there’s millions that do, but Anders in just such a thinker and artist, he truly is one of the best in world right now, and has way back past battles. What this guy thinks of, brings tears to people’s eyes, and that’s everything you’d want your music to do to someone, thanks Anders you’re a legend, and dude give it just a few more try’s, really lock on for those last 4 chorus lines, this really should have been a single it’s perfect for radio

Hmm In Flames has really changed a lot, if you don't know what they have done back in the day, and come to In Flames with the last two albums, you will get some decent metal, but the quality aint quite what it used to be from these guys. I would at any given time take Moonshield or Clayman over their new style. Of cause bands change, but it's not always for the better, as the case with In Flames. The entire song is just too repetative and boring, and I feel a bitsad, that this is the road In Flames have chosen
Essentially In Flames has gone almost completely Mainstream. And that's why their new music is repetitive. All mainstream music is like that. I think In Flames should realize that we are not asking for a colony part 2, or a whorcale part 2. But anyone who plays guitar can see that they put less work into the originality of their guitars in their new songs. To anyone reading this if you haven't listened to Suburban Me, go listen to it and you will see what I am talking about.
So Clayman isnt repetitive? Intro (same as the chorus), verse1 (mostly back and forth between two power chords ) pre-chorus, chorus, verse2, pre-chorus, Chorus, bridge/solo, verse3, chorus.
Its ok to prefer oldschool In flames; I personally think they peaked at Reroute to remain, but objectively, In flames music nowadays is much more complex than before. A high school band can make a decent cover of Only for the weak, Embody the invisible or Episode 666, but alot of adult, seasoned guitarist would struggle with their new stuff.
The Green Bean their first album is just god tier
If this In Flames album became less negative it would be the soundtrack to a My Little Pony: Equestria Girls TV movie...Bjorn and Niclas need to step it up on guitar or Anders needs to take a step back. Peter is the next one to leave I think...I wouldn't blame him. Where the hell is he in any video interviews. First Jesper, then Daniel, and now Peter...this band has eaten one f(r)iend too many. Funny, considering that from writing standpoint this is way better than a lot of their albums. I like their older stuff more but lets be real, something like System has ridiculously bad structure. From super hard part to super soft... It feels like they learned about transitions only at Sounds of the playground fading album.
I used to love in flames, but it is transferring into a stupid soft rock band. Maybe their next album would be a feat with Pitbull and Rihanna!! That's what money and fame do to hardcore metal bands like in flames and anathema and so on... Leave these bullshit and make an album like the jester race again guys.
