So apparently adidas made a late name change: the model with the tongue is NOT called Predator+ as I say in the video, but Predator Elite FT (for fold over tongue)…
So the boots are
- Fold over Tongue: Predator Elite FT
- Low tongue: Predator Elite
- Laceless: Predator Elite LL

This debut colorway really slapped to my face!!! Best chance to make hype of the return of black-white-red predator, but they just simply dropped it :)

As someone whos 32 years old and idolised beckham as a kid. Its great to see the tongue return ! Ill wait until they bring an OG colourway out as i cant wear bright orange boots 🤣 would love a blackout colourway !

Same , I ended up picking up some phantom DF elites cause I needed boots right now and I just couldn’t do this color way at all, it’s just not good imo , that debut 30 anniversary one though 😍
In february (6th) they probably coming with full black ones😮
4:48 Jaymike you had the GRIPFIEND 👹 in me at "it's a bit like an X with grip" & based off your description of the Predstrike Elite LL being more suited to feet with more volume. It's going to be a perfect fit for me.

Considering the lockdown and overall personal likings what would you recommend the tongue one or without the tongue laces.
15 years ago, people used to cut off the foldover tounge on their predators. It is only nice to look at but not very practical especially after the band snapped or loosed.
Really happy that we have the predator back with the tongue and it’s a style that still does well to this day.
Adidas is really improving their line-up. First Copa 2+, then this. Also how often do they actually offer a whole new boot without recycling some old soleplate or whatever. Big thumps up for Adi !

How is the predator elements applied to the upper? Is it glued on like previous version and expected to fall off during play?

By far my favourite boot since the Hypervenom 1's! I will do anything to get a pair of these maybe in a different colourway

This boot remake seems similar in design to the Mizuno Alpha Elite because of the triangle studs and the snug fit produced by the liner. I'm glad I recently got a new pair of the Alpha in Prism gold and white from Japan. triangle stud takeover?
The plus would’ve been nice if it had a channel in the rubber elements for the elastic that holds down the tongue, but it kinda just gets in the way of the rubber

I'm sure all their decisions are made off the back of deep market studies, but still...was it necessary to bring back such a classic boot and launch it in orange and yellow like we're all 12?

Though I am 14 (very young), I personally think this colour way is pretty nice when you give it a chance, but the other black and red colour way is a bit better imo. God bless.
Great design and great to get the fold over tongue again as an option! But the colourway is not great! I thought they were supposed to be red not orange? But great review unisport
The fold over tongue on the + folds too far down the foot and the elastic strap covers over some of the rubber elements so there isn’t full contact with the ball.
I’d like to know the differences when comparing these with the Adidas Gloros with the tongue. A vs comparison video?

I’ve generally had a preference for F50’s and the X series, the speedflows are still my game boots. But I had predators as a kid and these do look awesome. I’m very picky about responsiveness, would these be worth it or should I wait for the 2024 F50’s (which from leaks just look like speedflows)?
Speedflows are the best boot made in the last decade, so its fair to assume that these will not match that level. They were so good, they sold out everywhere when Adidas announced they were going to replace them with the speedportal. Both the laceless and laced speed flows are amazing
Yeah, when they replaced them I jumped on the sales and bought a second pair. And found a third more recently. My original ones tore. They definitely are the best boots I’ve ever worn, or close to given I had 2014 F50 adizero’s.

that runners loop trick with the laces is under-rated. I have been doing that for years and it helps lock-down a lot!!

I currently have been using the predator accuracy + for a year now, and I love the fact that it's laceless. I would say I have a wider foot than most, and I wanted to know if you would recommend the predator 30 elite LL for someone with a decently wide foot

Got the Solar pack tongue version yesterday and finding them pretty snug, tighter than my speed flows, would you suggest going up half a size or will they give a little after a few sessions?

To follow up on this, apparently it's not new, contrary to what I was told: it'll be the standard AG plate we've known from adidas for years. Disappointing. /Jay
@@unisport Jay, I’ve just seen that Adidas have released 2 types of AG plates, one for 2G/3G pitches & another for newer 4G pitches. Very interesting development in my opinion & personally I really like the idea behind this as more options is always a good thing!
Yep, the 2G/3G plate was a surprise for me, to be honest. I'll be getting it soon and go over it in my rundown of all the different price points on the Pred. I'm not overly excited if I'm honest though - plus, I hear it's HEAVY. But let's see. /Jay

Can you use that soleplate on AG?
They WILL release in AG early next year (but it'll be the same as the AG plate from the last many years sadly). These aren’t AS risky to use on AG as the Accuracy, but I wouldn’t recommend it. It’s possible to do and the stud shape is alright, but you still lose your warranty.

Really sad to hear about the slimed down fit :/ Predator Accuracy was one of a very few boots that fit my very wide foot. Wondering if this will work for me. Also why not launch the new boot with a classic black color with red & white or a Beckham style white base with red & black accents?

Think the Elite (the short tongue with laces) is still worth a go. They might be tight, but there’s a lot of room to adjust with that u throat. /Jay

Do you think I should wear these at the start of the match to score an early goal then switch to speed boots for more stamina? Or start the match the speed boots and switch the predators if I need a goal? I plan on switching to control boots the last 10 minutes to see the game out with more control
Please don’t do this. Your boots do not change how you play. Just stick with what feels best. Good luck 👍🏻

Which also goes to show that the Freak AG version wasn’t ideal for AG 😂
They look cool, but the snug fit is a real shame to accomodate different foot types. I hope the Champagnes are the same style as the Mania 2022s......😍😍♥
I can't tell if your color grading on the video is off or changed to look more orange...Adidas said these are "solar red" and they really look red in pictures but here they definitely look orange. I mean, doesn't matter, I still copped a pair.
They’re tough to label tbh. Solar red is this bright, almost orange-y red that’s somewhere in between. Super hard for the camera to replicate that very lively colour that you get IRL.
All i care about a football boot is if it can go on my foot in a comfortable way
What color is it? It looks red in you short and orange here.
It’s more orange than red, it’s just the iPhone camera that has a hard time processing that colour hence why it looks more red in the Short. It’s a strong colour IRL! /Jay
