I really like it when you talk in a video, even if it’s just an intro.
Thanks!
Ok
Laura: "I got kicked out of the train for not having reservation to take my bicycle."
Solution: Laura makes a bicycle she can board on the trains without needing reservations.
Makers are the new solution heroes! Just make whatever is needed.
God bless! Stay safe and healthy!
I love the whole process of making a thing you need out of what you have. The folding bike is the perfect solution. Those chain hinges are just so cool!
I think Laura has become a master at resource utilization. If I were stuck in the Apollo 13 capsule, I'd want Laura on my team.
@@tree_carcass_mangler Agreed!
Mntaf
are you willing to sell it?
Never thought of using chain as hinges...that's an awesome idea!
skyler lehmkuhl --- That's because they aren't useful for a hinge of this type, chains break very easily, even until normal load.
*I love the **Latest.Bike** I use it when going camping. It folds up so easy and isn’t heavy at all. Rides so smooth. I love my bike!*
That bike folds so quickly. Just a hinge or 2 and you're done. I'm impressed at the craftsmanship.
Nice seeing you solve the problem! Slightly cheaper than the Brompton I bought 11 years ago! Like Deutsche Bahn though, you must have met a very cranky train conductor, no heart throwing you off in the middle of the night!!! We traveled in jam-packed trains with bikes and every one been helpful and cheerful.
That locking bolt is brilliant. Great video Laura.
Trevor Higgins --- Except she's compromised the integrity of the tube. Any off axis force and it'll collapse.
Could you build up the tubing wall thickness top beef up this slotted location?
@@Liofa73 The tubular shape and strength of the bolts body may compensate for some of that. With the proper thickness, length and fit it may he stronger then the HOLLOW thin walled bike frame. Just a guess.
Jadi viral☺️
Wah ☺️
Sick build! I love the locking mechanism.
Great bike solution, and I loved that you shared your train story! We’ve all been there, in one way or another, and I appreciate you sharing it with us. 😄
You are still the only person I’ve seen that can operate a TIG foot pedal with your knee!! Cool bike project too!
Ingenious! The hinges are so cool.
I wish my college students would watch some of your videos... you demonstrate such great problem solving skills, and take initiative. Thanks again for all the way you inspire people around the world, especially during this crazy time.
Laura- wonderful! I love you bicycle projects. Stay safe friend and thanks for the weekly inspiration. Cheers, Steve aka The Talking Fly
Ksi pin💕
Love the hinges and locking mechanism - another awesome project!
Thanks Lisa!!
The ingenuity and the time you take to do the stuff is what makes it worth watching over and over. Thanks for sharing.
A pragmatic maker, creating what you need to resolve the problems, big or small in your life. And that is a great life skill.
love using chain hinges... and being a motorcyclist, I have plenty of old chain lying around.
Sweet. These are the kind of projects I like to see.
Your ingenuity is incredible. I love your channel.
What a lighting bolt of creativity this was! You're amazing. Thanks for sharing this one with us.
Great solution with style. The chain hinge and lock are really cool.
your resourcefulness is brilliant, the use of the chain as the hinge, inspired
Cooles Projekt, Danke fürs Zeigen
Shocking. What an amazing solution. That’s a real gift.
Super cool idea. Love the bolt mechanism and the chain hinges!
This is one of the few channels that I do not fast forward over any content. You make each second interesting. Had a manufactured folding bike when I also owned an airplane so I would have a way to get from an airport to where I was going without renting a car. It was very heavy. Your solution is far better! Thanks Laura!
Genius!! Nice work Laura!
That’s a fantastic looking bike. I especially like the bolt action. Looks like the kind of thing a rifle has. Pretty cool.
Amazing Laura!
Love the bolt-action alignment pegs!
Brilliant! What great solution to a problem. Keep up the good work. I look forward to your videos. Thanks!
"El ingenio nace de la necesidad" good job! I love it 💜
Laura your AWESOME!!!!!!! Stay safe!
WOW, what a wonderful project it is! Really appreciate your ingenuity.
Love everything about this girl. The music she picks for her videos is pretty awesome as well!!
Your bike projects are my favorite
I always enjoy your projects. And I love that you're not afraid of doing anything. Cut a bike in half? No big deal. Awesome.
Unreal! So creative and innovative. Thanks for the share!!
Only you Laura could make a folding bike that is cool AF!
Laura, you rock!
Inspiring work! As usual Laura!
That hinge and bolt are genius - I'm also super jealous of your scrap metal bin!
YESSS, I miss your freak bike projects! The problem you solved with this one is excellent :)
Genus! But safety tip>
Wear long arm/hand gloves, goggles, face guard & a spark/fire proof apron or something that cover the front part of your body so you don't get sparked on or slightly burnt by the metal cutter. 👍
So cool, fantastic idea!
You are a genius! 🙌🏼 love your creativity
That's Dope! Nice werk.
Laura ,Thank you for sharing this project. You make it look easy! I really like it. Wishing you the best!
Respect. You have mad skills.
Great job, keep up the great work
I watched this story unfold (no pun intended) on IG. Glad it all worked out ok, but not fun while it was happening. This is a great response to a surprise situation. Always good to be prepared. Thanks for sharing!
La satisfacción de hacer las cosas por uno mismo y la suerte de tener conocimiento y maquinaria para hacerlo. Felicidades
brilliant execution of a folding bike. Love watching you Keep on truckin.
Too Cool for School! Awesome job. 🎉
Well made,looks very cool
Thanks for sharing
This is my new favorite video of yours. Like the chain hinge.
Congrats!!!
Those hinges are just genius!
Amazing build 👍
That’s pretty sweet. Nice job, great video
I loved watching this. Love bicycles and her vibe too :)
Love the handles for the locking mechanism. 👍
Another interesting 🤔 project from Laura, Laura’s videos on a Sunday are the highlight of the week for me and I always enjoy them, such a clever person is Laura always finding solutions to problems and then goes right ahead and solves them, how I wish I had the tools 🧰 to exactly the same thing.
Wow! Great idea! Using a chain to create foldable options opens up the possibilities of new inspirations. I mostly work on wood projects, but this is something I can make to incorporate a scissor jack on a workbench to lift and lower a mitre saw. Now just to figure out design. 🤔 💭
Love your show!
This was epic! Faced with a problem, you showed how you solved it and all with tools and parts that you already owned, sweet!! Really love this video!
Necessity is the mother of another great video!
Yaaayyy beautiful Laura always inspiring the entire world with awesome projects and cool solutions, thank you so much 😍😚👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🛠📐🎵🌹
Nice, love the chain hinge👌
Loved the project.using chain link for a hinge superb.Hope to see more projects.
Sweet project love the use of an old bike ad giving it a new life.
What an elegant piece of work
Great project with lots of creative solutions. Thanks for posting and thumbs up!
So simple and so awesome!
You have a great mind, I like it 👏
¡¡¡Awesome as always!!! Greetings from Mexico city
Saludos Laura desde México, excelente trabajo
Very impressed by your skills and craftsmanship… well done!
Genius level maker with soothing, almost meditative, videos.
Nice video! Nice project! Go Ahead
Regards from Argentina
Love your shop.
Awesome video Laura you rock :)
Turned out very well keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work great videos can’t wait to see next video
Nice project Laura.... 😍🤩
Once I make an my cycle electric, this will be the next step. And once I do that, behold! I will have a close to professional e-cycle! Thanks for the motivation and as always great videos!
We love this project too . I hope you don't hit the chain with your knee . Simple and useful as always . Thank you Laura !
Wow, every time you flash me with this simple, but genius ideas...and you build it so precise and in a so high quality! Thanks for your videos, stay healthy and many greetings from Vienna! Christian
Awesome, Laura! I'm sure you had loads of fun doing it. Thanks for the watch treat. Inspired me to do something with a chain hinge. May have used brazing instead of an arc but the idea still worked. Kudos! See you on the road.
Really cool Laura! I especially like the chain hinge and the inset spring. You inspire me to take up tig welding someday!
They kicked you off a mostly empty train in the middle of the night, because you had no reservation for your freaking bicycle? I have no words.
I mean, I'm glad it inspired you to do this cool project (I would love, to have a folding bike for my camper, but making one is beyond my skills), but that's just outrageous.
That's why it's called the law and not morality or justice or some other commie stuff.
DB are _really_ strict. Beyond all common sense.
I was once on a train in Germany with some Americans. They had bought tickets and printed them at home. The tickets cost more than €200 / $200. The Ticket Inspector made them pay full price again, plus a penalty, because they had printed the tickets on US Letter size not A4 size paper.
Now, I had noticed that the PDF that you have to print clearly states "print on A4 paper" but there really was no room for doubt that they had paid for valid tickets.
Love it. a Bolt action BMX.
Always inspired by your projects and jealous of your workshop.
Very Smart ! Great Job !
Cool! Thanks for your video
Fantastic your brilliance never ceases to amaze me 👍
Your hinges always blow my mind!
Excellent, I absolutely love your bicycle projects. Respect. Regards Gareth Wiltshire UK. Gratitude. Quality. Thank you.
I came across with that documentary "living in the tiny house" and then i discovered your channel. You are doing something special not everyone's cup of tea to do kind of stuff like that. Also ich bin total froh dass ich dieses Channel gefunden hab und ich denke deinen Namen gut geeignet zu a new beer brand... Why not? I can even imagine the first bottle beer of yours Laura Kampf since 2023
Great job !
Excellent! Great lathe & welding. The chain hinge is very clever. The locking pins look like a bolt action rifle setup.
