FYI you do not need to remove the lock spring . The oil filter wrench when placed on the filter housing fills the gaps and disables the lock. If you do remove this lock. be sure to reinstall it. It is a safety mechanism used to keep the filter housing from backing out in case said housing was not properly tightened. Hope this helps

Oh wow you don't have to reset the car after the oil change? On my 2010 I would get a oil change notice and I had to do a reset to remove the notification.

This is not the same for Prius Prime Ltd 2020? I guess it should have a regular filter and not a cansester with refill like yours. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

thanks for the video. just did my wifes 21 prius oil change, same thing but i find that dipstick using the 0w-16 oil is almost impossible to read accurately. toyota calls for 4.4 qts and i used probably 4.7qt just to be on the safe side.

Others (Not Toyota) say 0W-20 is the North American equvalent of 0-16 but Toy specifically mentions you can use this grade temporarly till you get to a dealership and change it! I guess Toyotas regular gimmick to rip you off and get more money!

O-16W oil is what Toyota recommonds for Prius of this era. But this grade is not available in the USA, at least where I am. Others (Not Toyota) say 0W-20 is the North American equvalent of 0-16 but Toy specifically mentions you can use this grade temporarly till you get to a dealership and change it immediately then!
