@@tb7667, good point, Hannabury had to get a wheelbarrow to collect his $ from St.Kilda. Despite copping a career ending injury in the 2016 GF ,dodgey legs etc , the Saints made a crazy offer, and he took it.
At 26 , Stengle would be well advised to consider his own future, and not that of Geelong. Especially if he lives near the Barwon river in a flood prone area, river of tears arriving in early sept.
All jokes aside, how long is an AFL career, if he wants part of a premiership side, he'll be retired before St.Kilda win one 😂

@@PulauSwanguess you can play the other side too, how long is a footy career really? Gotta milk the $ out of it when you’re there. I think what I’d be talking about as a manager is are the good clubs only a little off your $ so you can afford to take that then get the spoils later in life as part of the media being a dual premiership winner instead of a single

@@zaydevans2077 yes, you're only young once, around 28 years old is your peak, then downhill skiing from there.
I've never heard Steng speak, but boomer Harvey is about as bad as I can tolerate. I'm surprized he hasn't been put thru a media pronunciation course, queen's English etc , But if a player is literate, there are opportunities for sure, post playing career. It's not for everyone either, it's a diverse world of alternatives now.

legit no clue why they dropped garcia, ik they wanted weightman back in but drop literally anyone instead. Garcia has been their highest effort forward consistantly. The difference with the aliir thing vs trac is aliir was actualyl capable of still playing even though he shouldnt have. Trac was barely able to walk, if he went home without going to hospital and lets say went to sleep with the internal bleeding he may not have woken up

I watched Mathew Lloyd talk about this, he said it doesn't become apparent right away, even he didn't feel the pain right away. Doctors were saying the only way to tell immediately tell is an x-ray, and ultrasound, so it created a discussion about fitting stadiums with better medical facilities.

Mark Blicavs is also Olympic standard notwithstanding his age. No one in the comp can faster a faster 3,000 metres than this man.

Yeah, Drs are sacrosanct, it's a class* thing, you can't say anything against the Drs without a backlash. The Drs are club first, team second, player's at best third if you are a star player. Though, Melbourne was prepared to risk Christian Petracca because Melbourne's season was on the line. So, club first, Christian Petracca second the other day because of Melbourne's poor ladder position. Of course, a load of people will disagree with me, but it's just so obvious over the years that players in the main are expendable.
*Medical Drs have been held by society as elite members of society for centuries, and often beyond criticism. One of the reasons we fail to hold Drs to account the way we should, even though they make quite a few mistakes, is the system would fall down if we could prosecute them for everything we should. It would also produce a watershed in the court system we could not deal with. So many Drs should not even be practicing medicine, but the system allows them to flourish, because if we allow them to be prosecuted and struck off who would we have left, well definitely not enough Drs to go around, which we don't have now.
Medicine, Law and Theology use to be the big three degrees, with the most prestige.
